soak Posted January 4, 2015 Share Posted January 4, 2015 Bug Submission: Category: General Issue Title: Latency/Rubberbanding Issue Description: Probably a netcode thing? My friend and I have been trying to play with one or the other of us as host. We cannot get below 100 ping, usually 150, but that is ok. The problem is that it feels like 300-600 ping, and sometimes feels like 1000-3000 ping (1-3 seconds delay I mean). When I play starcraft on the korean server I get far less latency, less than half easily. We get some intense rubberbanding sometimes too. The host has no problems. We have both tried hosting, same situation but different person getting the lag. Host's framerate is fine during this, though not as high perhaps as when playing single player if its my machine, which is much older than his high end one. It takes up to several whole seconds extra to do anything at all, but 1 second extra minimum. Ruins the experience. Makes fighting spiders pretty unpredictable. We'll try again tonight, and if its still happening we'll be avoiding the beta for a month or two until it gets fixed up Great game so far btw. Steps to Reproduce: 2 player game, one player hosts, the other joins. All settings to default.
