Hunting the Gobblers

I've had trouble when it comes to chasing down the Gobblers that spawn in the game. I'll chase them to the edge of the map and kill them, but then either the drumstick or the morsel or both bounce off the edge of the map, landing where I cannot reach them. This has also happened with monsters I kill too close to the sea. I'd like to see something implemented that prevents me from losing hard-won resources.

Yes, this is a glitch. I've done the same tactic as you, dozens of times before, but in my case the drumstick/meat morsel would always just fall onto the ground. However, other players have reported similar incidents for a variety of dropped resources, so rest assured, this is a known issue.
