Just an idea for a mod inspired by a minecraft mod whith the same name

 

It basically ads a new building a few new items and a lot of mobs to invade your base some will just be modified vanilla mobs while others are new and got new abilities

 

The invasion mod for don’t starve

 

The new structure is like a beckon that attracts mobs that spawns in waves that increaser in difficulty as the waves progress

 

The new items is catalysts and rift ecens catalysts starts the process and rift ecens is the reward that can be crafted into items to use

 

Craft catalysts of gold nightmarefuel or worst purple gems

 

Example

Spider: just like vanilla except it tries to destroy stuff in its way and heads for the new building

Hound: just like vanilla except it tries to destroy stuff in its way smashes chests eats your food and heads for the new building

Batilisk: just like vanilla except it heads for the new building

Artillery: shots explosives at your base
