[Blewcheese]

(The eyes of a dead fish. How majestic.)

 

Pops stared at the orb for a bit. Perhaps breaking it would not be the wisest thing to do... But what choice did he have? In this black void of nothingness, there wasn't much else to do. Then again, breaking the only color in a mass of darkness probably wouldn't end well. He decided to send a course of mental energy through the orb and see how it reacted.

[Will]

Before Pops could actually send the mental energy, Will latches on the Pops. He furiously tries to pull him away from the orb. It was obvious that whatever Pops wanted to do would work.

[Blewcheese]

Pops flinches, but manages to fabricate a metal rod. Using it, he attempts to push Will away.

[Will]

Pops is successful in pushing Will to the ground. Now is his chance.

[Blewcheese]

Taking his chance, Pops sends the mental energy through the orb.

[Will]

The mental orb shatters, as the Will behind Pops disintegrates. The space lights up, and the images on the orb form a large dome around Pops. In the newly shed light, Pops could see a pure ball of darkness floating next to a memory. It was simply Shadowfall's face, surrounded by surgical equipment.

[Blewcheese]

Pops maneuvers towards the orb and carefully touches it with the tip of his finger.

[Battal]

Pops dies instantly because Shadowfall is insanely powerful and you don't just touch his face.

[Will]

The orb sends out a large pulse of dark energy, sending Pops flying. Tendrils begin to grow out of the orb, and they begin to wrap around Pops, pulling him closer to the orb. When Pops is only a foot away, a series of red circles appear all over the orb, and vivid red energy slowly creeps along the tendrils of darkness toward Pops.

"YOU WILL NOT TAKE MY PUPPET AWAY FROM ME. THIS BODY HAS OPENED MANY NEW OPPORTUNITIES FOR ME, AND I WILL NOT LET YOU DESTROY THEM. YOU MUST END, OLD MAN. THEN, THE BOY. THEN THE GIRL, AND THEN THE TRAITOR WILL HAVE NO MASTER."

[Blewcheese]

(Pops touches faces whenever he wants.)

Pops narrowed his eyes and began to emit a bright light from his hands, hoping to drive away the tendrils.

[Battal]

(That's actually slightly creepy.)

[Blewcheese]

(I don't see the problem with an old man touching people's faces.)

[Battal]

*Drives massive spike through someone's face*

[Will]

The red energy begins to very slowly move away from Pops. The orb expresses what looks like anger. It is obviously losing control very slowly, as it is now sounding like Will.

"This will not save you! I will end you!"

[Blewcheese]

"Must I remind you that the subconscious is my area of expertise? You have no hope of beating me here, so give up."

[Will]

"Your belief that I'd just give up is amusing."

The red energy begins to slowly creep toward Pops again. If he's going to do something, he'd better do it fast.

[Blewcheese]

The brightness in Pops's hands erupts forward into beams and begin surrounding the orb, washing over it.

[Will]

Meanwhile outside, the Masked Man is towering over Violet, sword in hand. He stabs down, but Violet barely rolls out of the way.

"Pops, hurry up in there! I can't evade this guy forever!"

Dark Will's eyes flutter open. He attempts to rise to his feet, but falls to the ground, clutching his stomach.

"Bloody hell... I've got to distract him!"

Dark Will pulls out the hilt of Satoshi's katana.

"When'd did I get this? Oh well, doesn't matter!"

Dark Will throws the hilt at the Masked Man, who turns to face Dark Will. He slowly begins walking toward him.

"Pops! Hurry, before this mask guy skewers the british dude!"

 

[Blewcheese]

(Wasn't the Masked Man encased in blood?)

[Will]

(He broke out for rule of drama. He just happens to not be attacking you because I don't know.)

[Battal]

(His plan is quite flawed.  He spends all his time trying to fight Violet and Dark Will, whilst leaving Pops perfectly unharmed, even though he's the one doing the most damage.)

[Blewcheese]

(I see.)

Pops begins flooding as much energy into the orb as possible, hoping for a reaction.

[Will]

(The thing controlling the Masked Man is currently trying to kill Pops, so the Masked Man is put on what is basically AI, which as we all know, is a crapshoot.)

The energy causes the red energy back into the orb. It briefly glows a bright white. The orb suddenly begins to swell and convulge rapidly.

"NO, NO, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!? YOU'VE RUINED EVERYTHING. YOU WILL DIE FOR THIS, MORTAL."

The orb of shadow explodes in glorious light. The darkness in Will's mind turns to light, as Pops is evicted. Pops awakens to see the Masked Man about to drive his sword into Dark Will's face when he just slumps over. The visor on the mask shatters, and the mask flies off. Inside, just as the Dark Will had informed, was Will. 

"You... you did it. You even managed to keep him from dying!"

Dark Will crawls over to Will, and rips off the clothes Shadowfall had equiped him with. Dark Will suddenly stops moving. Tears fall from his face.

"Oh god, what did he do to you?"

Where Will's left arm should have been was a mechanical grasper, his left right leg was essentially a peg leg, and half of his torso was metal parts. Violet rises to her feet, clutching her arm.

[Blewcheese]

Pops slowly rises to his feet, exhausted. He surveyes what's left of Will silently.

[Battal]

Viti-Mortos continues to mutter to himself about the lightning rod blueprint, barely looking up when Will's mask hits him in the side.
