"Why?" Jakob asks, his eyes flickering with a small firelight.  "Are you afraid?"

He lets out a laugh.

"Pathetic!  Absolutely pathetic.  A dead, powerless mortal - and you're afraid."

Jakob sneers at Sundrop.

"Really, I'm amazed Snowfall didn't off you already."

Jakob quickly sidesteps, catching the fiery blade in between his hands.  The sword begins to unwravel into a mass of fire, and in seconds he is levitating three fireballs around himself.

"As I said, Sundrop.  Parlour tricks."  He says, hurling all three fireballs at Sundrop.  Upon contact, they explode like napalm, flinging her backwards like a rag doll.

Jakob shrugs.  "Suit yourself."

However, he is far less confident than he was previously.  He was hoping that his fireballs would hurl Sundrop off the side of the craggy mountain they were on, but that idea had failed, and controlling just that small bit of fire had drained a huge chunk of his energy.  He doubted he could do it again, but he had to stop Sundrop.  He didn't give a damn about Starling's talks of 'Do not interfere'.
