Shadowfall

[Ellebelly24]

"Come on Joseph."

*Snow turns to Viti*

"Thank you for the help so far."

*With that she walks up to the doors*

[Blewcheese]

Joseph takes some seen breaths.

"Right. Okay. We can do this. Easy as pie. Almost."

He braces himself mentally, and steps through the gates.

[Battal]

The temple is dark, lest for a few bits of sunlight streaming through gaps in the ceiling.  An altar sits in the middle of the door, a staircase leading down into the depths of the temple.

[Ellebelly24]

*Snowfall takes a deep breath and walks through*

[Blewcheese]

"Alright. Down the stairs. Here we go."

He begins going down the stairs, but he breaks into a run.

[Ellebelly24]

*Snow chases after him*

"Wait up!"

[Battal]

The group walks onto a stone bridge above a large chamber.  Below are multiple shelves, covered in knickknacks - dull gems, ruined books, and skulls.  The walls are carved with curly designs, and torches burn along the walls.

[Ellebelly24]

*Snowfall slows down and shivers, looking at the carvings, gems, and torches*

[Blewcheese]

"There's no time to waste. We have to get to Jakob."

Joseph runs across the bridge without a second thought.

[Ellebelly24]

*Snowfall starts to run again, until she clumsily trips over a skull*

[Blewcheese]

Joseph grunts and runs back to snowfall.

"Come on, Snowfall. Let's gooooo."

He grabs Snowfall's hand and begins half-leading, half dragging her across the bridge.

[Battal]

The Beacon Temple

 

​This temple was built by the ancients to house one of the Light Beacons, which can break through Shadow Seals.  It contains traps and automatons, there to guard the Beacon itself.

[Ellebelly24]

"I'm sorry!"

*She tries her best to stay at Joseph's speed*

[Blewcheese]

"It's fine. Just keep going."

He slows himself to match Snowfall's pace. About halfway across the bridge.

[Battal]

With a sudden click, the ground Joseph steps on depresses, and a slew of darts shoot out of hidden slots in the walls.  They narrowly miss Joseph and Snowfall.

[Blewcheese]

Joseph freezes, and looks at the darts.

"Okay. Look out for traps."

He continues, more slowly now. He scans the floor for any signs of pressure plates or kinds of traps.

[Battal]

Reaching the end of the bridge, the group walks down a stairway and then goes through another doorway.  They find themselves on the ground floor of the room they were in recently.

[Blewcheese]

"Alright..."

Joseph scans the room for any traps before walking. And when he does set off, he does so slowly and carefully.

[Will]

Dark Will silently pulls Joseph aside.

"Listen, Joseph. If you want to get anything done for the next 24 hours, you're going to have to start trusting me. I've done nothing but help since Shadowfall turned me neutral. I'm not an enemy."

[Blewcheese]

"Okay. Right. There's not much time for this discussion. We'll talk about this later, Jakob's life is in stake."

Slightly disoriented, Joseph continues his movement through the room.

[Battal]

The group finds a porticullus, behind which is another hallway. They decide to look around the room for a mechanism to open it.

[Will]

(Welp, I've decided. I'm going to draw a picture for the end of the RP. It's going to be the full cast, including the villains. I might possibly create a credits sequence, but don't get your hopes up for that much. And the drawing might be a bit posh.)

Dark Will dives forward, and pushes Snowfall to the ground. Rights as they both touch the floor, a huge blade flies right by where Snowfall's head would have been.

"That was close. We need to be more careful in here, check for anything that could spring a trap. This room gives me a very bad feeling."

 

EDIT: (You guys might want to give me an in depth description of your characters, or else I'm just going to draw them as how I see them. Just saying, if you were going for a distinct look for your character.)

[Blewcheese]

Joseph grunts in agreement. He scans the room, his eyes resting on two levers. Each identical to the other.

"Uh... What's your favorite side? Left or right?"

[Will]

"Both. Let's pull them at the same time. You use your telekinesis on one, I'll pull the other. That way if you pull the wrong one, you'll be fine. If I pull the wrong one, I can probably get out of the way in time."

(Bit of trivia-did you know that people actually read this for entertainment?  Ha!)

 

Joseph and Dark Will pull the levers.  The porticullus opens, but at the same time, another automaton comes out of a hidden door.  This one is small, and looks like a beetle on wheels; but it's fiery red gems make it far from amusing.  It blasts a gout of fire at Joseph.
