Tired_Awaii Posted May 30 Share Posted May 30 (edited) So the new boss added this update, the Guard Towers, are pretty cool, I think they look visually great and the fight with them, while simple, is fun alongside the puzzle that goes with them. Using shadow creatures to distract the Guards is a fun concept I enjoy. However, I do have one complaint about them and that's how I think the lack of proper connection between the Guards and the Weevils is a little disappointing. Maybe this is just me but it really feels like the Weevils and Guards should be interacting more with the fight, such as tying their ability to be fully taken out with rolling the Weevils into the slots in the ground or putting them in a weakened state to make fighting them easier. As it is currently the Weevils don't even need to be spawned while the Guards are alive so you can just take them all out first and go off and do the Weevils after which is understandable if that is how it is intended to work, but I question then why the levers pop out when the Guards spawn instead of happening afterwards, or making the levers drop when no guards are alive so you are forced to do the Weevil puzzle while guards are alive.
