MRRepirrto
What does he mean? - you may ask. Well, have you ever played as Wurt? If you have had, what can you say about her skill tree? Was it useful enough for you to fight bosses? My experience is that Wurt NEEDS to be able to control her army. For example, merms aren't smart to fight bosses like Klaus, Dragonfly, Deerclops, Bee Queen, etc. Let's uncover their disadvantages. Against Klaus: His spells and deers are the main problem, as merms can kill deers or just die to klaus' spells. Against Dragonfly: if you have a huge army, then it isn't a problem but when you have about 10 or less, then there might be problems, as you know dragonfly can become furious when you kill all of its maggots, and if you don't have a flute your army are basically dead, even if they have armor. Against Bee Queen: Your army will not be able to get closer as they are stuck in honey and they become useless, that's basically it. Agaisnt Deerclops or other splash-attacking enemies or bosses: your army will die if king of merms doesn't have a tulecite crown, but even if he does, eventually every single merms will die sooner or later. Well, let's move on to basic merms. I'm going to say that they are useless too, even with tools as they could gather recourses just like Maxwell's army too. You have to manually leave your army to just gather grass and sticks, while you have that big army, why? In conclusion, merms lack scalability in late-game boss fights or just in basic life and the army for Wurt is just an expensive decoration, that doesn't have any impact or even they can ruin your boss fight, like Klaus, for example. The last thing I want to uncover is the skill tree. Like basically, what was the point of stretching her skill tree when you want to unlock all of the new buildings you must spend 6 skill points!?!?!? Well, what about the same useless mosquito skills. The most useful from 3 wasted skill points is blood shot that gives you 25 HP and that's it! As for skills to give special items to the king, it's actually cool, I really like the concept, but the execution is bad. Like to make merms' DPS higher you must obtain Strident Trident that is almost end-game item. As for amphibian skills, they are trash too, the only skill that is actually MAY be helpful is All-Weather scales, but you have to still spend 3 skill points to unlock it. Like who's going on serious mind use wet as healing or another 50 HP? And the last one is affinity, well, I HATE THE CONCEPT OF WASTING PURE BRILLIANCE OR PURE HORROR for just making merm's damage from 50 basic to 30 basic and 20 pure damage, seriously? Shadow or lunar merms are useless at all, I mean, yeah, your merm after their death turn into a shadow but it will die fast without armor. Or giving one moon shard to make your merm into a lunar version, yes, it can damage an enemy on hit, but it triggers VERY RARELY and deals ONLY 40 DAMAGE, like come on man. SOLUTIONS and BETTER SKILLS: To start with, let's REMAKE THE SKILL TREE FROM SCRATCH, we will have skill types like: Army, Craftsmen, King and Affinity. I will leave after every skill [INDEX] thing, it means what skill needs to be unlocked to unlock this one. Army: 1 Be able to create a tool that controls your army just like Winona's remote controller for catapults. [NONE] 2 Be able to create sheds with armor just like an original one, BUT YOU GET FOR ONE SKILL POINT TWO TYPES OF SHEDS that already exist in the game. [1] 3 Be able to create sheds with something similar to spears or different kinds of weapons. [2] 4 Be able to create sheds with armor BUT SPECIFICALLY FOR DEBUFFS like fire, cold or enforced sleep and has some protection. [3] 5 Be able to create sheds with armor that protects merms from everything even better. [4] 6 Be able to target only one enemy UNTIL IT'S DEAD with your tool (To prevent merms from targeting different enemies at once) [1] 7 Be able to put enemies IN BLACKLIST with your tool UNTIL THAT ENEMY KILLS ONE OF YOUR MERMS [6] 8 Be able to ENRAGE MERMS to DEAL MORE DAMAGE and MOVE FASTER [7] Craftsmen: 1 Be able to create ANOTHER TOOL that controls your craftsmen army: to gather lying recourses or gather bushes, sticks, grasses, etc; to chop trees and break stones; to keep in their inventory recourses: you can give them loot; to give every single recourse they have to your inventory, just like Maxwell's shadows. [NONE] 2 Be able to create sheds with mini backpacks for merms and weak versions of tools. [1] 3 Be able to create even better sheds [2] King: I think the skills that are already in the game are pretty good, but their skill points requirement needs to be reduced. Affinity: In my opinion, better versions need to get more damage, especially when in enraged state and also lunar merms should always trigger their spikes and shadow merms should be faster. But leave everything untouched. Well, that's all I wanted to say, you can suggest something better, but in my opinion Wurt doesn't have scalability at all, but other survivors DO have, I think it's bad game design, but I would be happy if Wurt had re-rework. Also Maxwell is able to summon his very first henchmen at the start, while Wurt has to build a HUGE CITY just to have an army of 20 merms, it just doesn't worth the time, I would like to see better versions of merm houses OR existing houses could hold MORE MERMS in there and not just one merm. Wurt doesn't have any abilities to сontrol her army, while Maxwell does, she has to hit an enemy and pray that merms will handle, and if the situation goes out of hand, she cannot retreat with her army, the army will fight to death or only few of them will survive.
