Cosmic_Eternus
Seeing as it seems like the Devs are sticking to the drone theme for the shadow affinity. I thought I would make a follow up to my last post regarding the shadow affinity and changes to the drones from it. Some of these suggestions are based on things I've seen others suggest. (Hopefully a new beta doesn't drop while I'm making this post and immediately out date it) Shadow Affinity Suggestions: Make drones be summoned on insertion. It feels unnecessary/redundant for players to have to insert an item before they can craft the drone. If you want drones to have to be crafted then I recommend making the items you insert part of the drone recipe and give access to said recipe when the affinity is selected Reduce the amount of drones. Quite a few people have complained about the drones cluttering the screen and blocking objects they want to click on. So I suggest reducing the amount of drones players can summon but buffing it to have the same power as the multiple drones. Exploiterators can scan multiple enemies at once. Another common complaint is Exploiterator drones are useless when dealing with multiple enemies at once, so I (and others) suggest letting them scan enemies in an area around them. Rework how drones work. I have a few suggestions on reworking the Exploiterator and Auto-Grabber drones to reduce clutter as mentioned above if you don't want to consolidate the amount of drones. Auto-Grabbers crafted with Pure Horror gain a drill and help mine and chop objects, with Auto-Grabbers bound to a Backup Chassis mining and chopping nearby objects. (Idea inspired by yams4lunch in this post) Exploiterator drones instead fly high above the player (similarly to the Roto-mapper) and scan enemies in a radius with Exploiterators crafted/summoned with a Possessed Shadow Atrium adding planar damage (like as mentioned above). Alternatively for the I suggest a complete overhaul/rework of the Exploiterator drone. Where instead of scanning enemies for a damage boost, they instead shoot shadow missiles at nearby enemies that explode in a small area (dealing planar damage if crafted/summoned), they still probably should fly high above the player. (This suggestion is originally from ZeRoboButler in this post) General WX/Skill Tree Suggestions: Zaptrocuter rework. While the drone itself is fine I personally feel that manually controlling the drone is a bit cumbersome. My suggestion for a slight rework in how they function would be instead of players having to equip an item to control it manually, they deploy it in a spot in which they then patrol and area around and attack nearby creatures (prioritizing creatures the player is attacking/being attacked by). Move some circuits to Gamma. I think it would be beneficial to move a few other circuits to Gamma. The circuits I personally think fit Gamma more than their original socket, are the Spatializer, and Electrification circuits Nutribricks restore more hunger. While I agree with the notion that Nutribricks shouldn't restore much hunger, I think they could use a small boost in how much they do restore. I suggest raising the hunger restored from 18.75 to 25, which I know isn't a big increase, but psychologically players will see it as more worth to make and eat. Beanbooster's shield can regen combat. I think the shield the Beanbooster gives with Alpha Tinkering II should be changed from not regenerating in combat, but instead regenerating if now damage is taken for a few seconds. This would encourage players to kite attacks more and take combat slower to let the shield regen. 1 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/171303-feedbacksuggestion-wx-shadow-drone-suggestions-plus-some-other-ideas/ Share on other sites
