WX-78 lacks an empathy module, and this 「blank」 is waiting for 「a heart」.

「The tell-tale Heart」, 「Shadow Heart」, 「Revenant Heart」-their influence escalates in sequence. The shadow gradually takes over WX’s mind (it may begin to see all organic beings as shadow creatures), while also granting it the power of shadow.

The upgrades of the three hearts demonstrates the level of WX's influence by the shadow, which aligns perfectly with the established lore.

I suggest changing first level of the shadow path to 「The tell-tale Heart」.

there is something wrong with the shadow path of WX: fuel should never have been socketed into the circuit board in the first place. Fuel was only ever meant to be refueled from the very beginning, for either WX-78 or the drone.

I think that's very cool idea. I also find socketing fuel instead of a heart kind of weird.

Tell Tale Heart -> Shadow Atrium -> Possessed Shadow Atrium, then?

Could have a unique interaction with Wortox's Twintailed Heart too

It was okay as the weakest tier of the progression (fuel -> shadow atrium -> possessed shadow atrium), but the new thing of having fuel instead of a heart unlocking different things feels off.
