Add Crossplay Between PC and PlayStation 5 to Grow Playerbase and Improve Matchmaking

Hello Klei team,

I’d like to suggest adding crossplay between PC and PlayStation 5. I believe this feature would greatly improve the game and benefit both players and developers.

**Why crossplay would be great:**

* **Bigger playerbase.** PC and PS5 players could play together, making the community more active.

* **Faster matchmaking and easier co-op.** It would be much easier to find public servers and play with friends on different platforms.

* **Longer game lifespan.** Crossplay keeps multiplayer games alive longer by combining communities.

* **More content sharing.** Players could share worlds, challenges, and events regardless of platform.

**Benefits for developers:**

* **Increased player retention.** Friends can play together without worrying about platform differences.

* **More sales.** Players may buy the game on another platform to play with friends.

* **Higher engagement in updates and events.** Seasonal updates would reach a larger active audience.

* **Stronger community growth.** A unified playerbase creates more discussions, guides, and content.

**How it could work:**

* Optional crossplay toggle in settings (on/off).

* Cross-platform friends list using Klei account linking.

* Cross-platform servers visible to all players.

* Icons showing which platform players are using.

* Controller/keyboard input matchmaking preference (optional).

This feature would make multiplayer more accessible and help the game continue growing. Many players have friends on different platforms, and crossplay would finally allow them to survive together.

PS5 players will complain about massive lag and nonresponsive buttons upon joining a world with mods.
