Hi, I like to just watch these things from the side-lines, but when I saw that there was discourse about how there's no 1 slot Gamma Circuit and how it can be difficult to control your Lunar WX's; I came up with an idea to help both of these problems.

  • New Gamma Circuits: Link Circuit (Red, Blue, Green, and Mind).

    • All 4 recipes are obtainable from scanning a Mush Gnome.

    • Each color dependent Link Circuit requires 1x Biodata and 1x Red, Blue, or Green Mushroom depending on the color of the circuit.

    • Link Circuit: Mind requires 1x Biodata and 1x Moon Shroom.

    • All Link Circuits take 1 Slot.

    • The colored Link Circuits only take effect when plugged into a non-player controlled WX-78.

    • The Link Circuit: Mind only takes effect when plugged into a player controlled WX-78.

    • Only 1 Link Circuit can be plugged into a WX-78 Chassis.

Non-player controlled WX-78’s with a Link Circuit will now have a Red, Blue, or Green light hovering above them if they’re being controlled by a Gestalt. Here's a little rough image to visualize it (please excuse the really rough images; I don't have access to photoshop currently so all of it was done in paint):

When at least 1 non-player controlled WX-78 is alive, and the player controlled WX-78 has the Link Circuit: Mind plugged in; a new tab can be opened right under the circuits tab that shows the color. Here's another rough image to visualize it:

Opening the new tab will show the Neural Link tab. The Neural Link tab will show the color of what Link Circuit is plugged into each WX-78 and will show their health, hunger, and sanity to the right of it. The order from top to bottom will always be Red > Blue > Green. Here's (yet) another rough image depicting a healthy, sane, and sated WX; a hungry WX; and a low health WX:

The Link Circuit: Mind allows for WX-78 to open the command wheel. All 6 selections will always be in the same spots regardless of how many skills WX-78 has access to. If WX-78 doesn't have access to a skill, it just won't appear. The 6 selections are:

  • The top left will be Link Circuit: Red. This will open the Link Command Wheel for the WX-78 equipped with Link Circuit: Red.
  • The top middle will be Link Circuit: Blue. This will open the Link Command Wheel for the WX-78 equipped with Link Circuit: Blue.
  • The top right will be Link Circuit: Green. This will open the Link Command Wheel for the WX-78 equipped with Link Circuit: Green.
  • The bottom left will be the Block Circuit. This will activate the Block Circuit and will showcase it's cool-down.
  • The bottom middle be Link Circuit: Mind; This will open the Link Command Wheel for the WX-78 equipped with Link Circuit: Mind.
  • The bottom left will be the Sonic-Invoker Circuit. This will activate the Sonic-Invoker Circuit and will showcase it's cool-down.

Here's a rough image of what the layout would be to visualize it (please ignore Abigail, Wendy was the character that already has 6 skill selections so it just made it easier to format it in the way the game already does):

When opening any of the Link Circuits, it will then close the current command wheel and open the Link Command Wheel with 6 new selections. Selecting a Colored Link Circuit will only affect the WX-78 that color plugged in to. Selecting the Mind Circuit will affect all WX-78. Just like the original command wheel, the Link Command Wheel will always have each selection in the same spot no matter what. The 6 new selections are:

  • The top left will have the Aggressive Protocol. The Aggressive Protocol will have the selected color WX-78 attack anything nearby. If you go too far away, the WX-78 will return to you. When on the Aggressive Protocol the affected WX-78 will try to kite attacks like Pigmen.
  • The top middle will have the Free Action Protocol. The Free Action Protocol will have the selected color WX-78 act as they do right now (at the time of posting this). The Free Action Protocol is the defaulted selected option.
  • The top right will have the Return Protocol. The Return Protocol will have the selected color WX-78 return to the player controlled WX-78, ignoring all combat even when attacked.
  • The bottom left will have the Defense Protocol. The Defense Protocol will have the selected color WX-78 activate the Block Circuit (if it’s plugged in).
  • The bottom middle will have the Cancel Option. It just closes the Link Command Wheel.
  • The bottom right will have the Spook Protocol. The Spook Protocol will have the selected color WX-78 activate the Sonic-Invoker Circuit (if it’s plugged in).

Here's one last rough image to show the layout of the Link Command Wheel:

I know that's a lot, but there's a little more that the Link Circuits do for people who don't select the Lunar Alignment in the Insight Tree: Backup Chassis will have a Red, Blue, or Green light connected to the top of them depending on the Link Circuit plugged in; The map will show Red, Green, or Blue hued Chassis on the map. Backup Chassis with the Link Circuit: Mind will have no light or hued color. These aren't as complex as the other things that the Link Circuits do, so there really isn't a need for a really bad paint image.

These new Circuits allow for organization use to tell which Backup Chassis is what build, and for real min-maxers will allow the WX-78 player to meticulously control their non-player controlled WX’s. In short: it gives an option for both casual players and for players that really get into the game. Pleases give as much feedback as possible, I want to hear other's takes on my idea.

I should also add some things here that I just kinda forgot to add above:

  • Activating the Block Circuit or the Sonic-Invoker Circuit while it's already active will deactivate it early. This also is the same for non-player controlled WX-78's.
  • If you activate a Block or Sonic-Invoker Circuit on a non-player controlled WX-78, it will resume it's selected behavior (Aggressive, Free Action, or Return) once the Block or Sonic-Invoker ability ends or is canceled.
  • Lastly, non-player controlled WX-78's would no longer seemingly randomly select to use the Block or Sonic-Invoker Circuits to prevent you from accidently canceling an already active ability or for the non-player controlled WX-78 to put the ability on cool-down when you wanted to do it at a different time.

That would also be a neat idea, but I feel like it would be too similar to the other gamma circuit that gives you the Nutribricks. Additionally I feel like Wormwood's niche to eat some of the mushrooms without a downside would slightly be tampered with if WX could just do it too.
