You clone yourself with lunar affinity, it looks more fun. Just needs some adjustments.

But shadow affinity on the other hand, you get lazy forager, %25 dmg, mimicreep item usage.

It's strong but shadow affinity just looks boring when there is lunar affinity. If you assume lunar affinity is going to get some quality of life of course.

What do you think? I'm curious about people's opinion on this. Also maybe i'm just wrong thinking like this but i wanted to share my thoughts.

I can at least understand what they were going for with the Lunar skills, but I have absolutely no idea what they're trying to do with the Shadow skills. Why on earth does a Shadow Heart stretch out and grab resources from underground?

and why is it on a robot?

Spoiler

From my understanding. Correct me if I am wrong, but someone said that 25% bonus extends to all players. Giving WX a heart makes them team oriented. Lunar lets WX make the team.

I was wrong the damage only buffs WX

Yes, i think how it works is you automatically use a shadow whip to anything near you and they take %25 more dmg.

yea if you come to a 1-1.5 tile range of anything you can attack, a shadow tentacle/vine will come out of wx and "mark" the thing, making players do 25% more damage, but the absence of a indicator of that outside of the "whip" makes it difficult to know that alone

The shadow one is not flashy but it does serve its purpose ,damage increase is one thing Wx benefits a lot from and he gets it. Very useful, mimic item usage is a very weird perk imo but neat anyway.
The lunar version is quite fun ,feels like a minion type unit done very well, more interesting than Wurt's 15000 merm spam. I think it should probably have a deactivated state though for entering caves and such ,getting gestalts isnt convenient

Personally speaking, I like this, and I hope future affinities are like this.

Affinity A is very cool and interesting and has lots of cool potential for people who like playing around with all sorts of funny toys.

Affinity B says number goes up.

This is perfect for me. A and B appeal to different types of players, and I think it's very clean and I wouldn't want anything else.

As in... I like Shadow Affinity. Please keep the simple affinity + complex affinity duality for future Skill Trees. It's great.

I also think they are both solid, which makes you think about which one to take. It's great. I guess if you want a simple play you would pick shadow one.

But the only concern i had about shadow affinity was that it really felt like the perks it gives you were so random for wx. Overall, if they polish two of the affinities it's pretty fine i guess.
