Chassis are an actual fun and interactive ability that now are even more useful thanks to the affinities interacting with them, I want to propose a change that will make both people who like AND dislike the chassis happy.

Over the beta many great changes were implemented, but I think one of the best things to come out of the whole skilltree is the chassis, it's an excellent addition! It's fun to play around with its many uses with the teleportation, using them for quick loadout swapping, the beta circuit passives and now also the affinity abilities but I found one thing which sadly very much limits just how much fun I can get out of the addition and that is it's quantity limit. Obviously there shouldn't be 0 limit to how many chassis you can craft as they should still hold value and not be disposable pieces of junk or anything, but having only 3 chassis per shard is honestly kind of sad, you're not allowed to fully utilize all their cool abilities at all! Want to make a chassis long distance teleport network, use chassis for some easy earlygame light source or plant entertainment, make multiple loadouts you can swiftly switch between, use them as backup revival bodies after you die and make a lunar chassis army or shadow chassis farm? Well you can do that..... But you really can't do all of them, not at all with a current measly limit of 3 chassis, which in my and many other people's opinion who I talked to about this is WAY too punishing and prevents players from fully utilizing the perk to it's fullest potential, some of the uses I mentioned are rather minor anyway and feel like a complete waste of a full chassis with the current limit, I think the increase to it is badly needed and would not at all disrupt the game balance because some of their stronger effects like spawning literal player clones are INSANELY costly and realistically done by some other characters better(thought that's a completely separate topic).

I believe the amount of chassis available to the player per shard should be raised from 3 to 6 with all the available additional chassis skills AT LEAST(maybe even 9 thought that might very well be an overkill, I genuinely believe a change from 3 to 6 would not be overpowered in the slightest and would greatly increase the enjoyment you can get out of WX), now at face value doubling the chassis available sounds very excessive but when you think about all the possible interactions with it it REALLY isn't, as it would still retain all the original limitations of not transffering your inventory with you and both lunar and shadow affinities would need to go out of their way to grind out the expensive materials to utilize them for their perks. This is a change I really think would:
1. Make WX's chassis revival skills more useful as now players could actually be more encouraged to spend one of their chassis for revival only as with 3 chassis they are WAY to scarce,
2. Encourage the player to use all the creative chassis utilities you have come up with, making choices involving what to do with a chassis more engaging as all types of players will be able to use them in different ways depending on whether they want convenient loadout swapping, safety, traversal, utility or offensive abilities more freely as the limit of 3 chassis often does not even leave players with a choice!
3. Genuinely just more fun in general I love chassis and when playing with them the *only* bottleneck to me fully enjoying them is the thought "I wish I had more of them to utilize".

Now if the klei developers hear out my desperate pleas and would make this a reality for every single chassis enjoyer around the world, it's implementation would be really simple, the most simple of additions possible really, here is my suggestion of going about it: 
1. Make it so that cold standby 1 2 3 all give you TWO chassis per perk, extremely simple in execution just literally adding 1 additional craftable chassis to each perk, OR my suggestion in hopes of also CONDENSING the WX skill tree which would give players more control over what perks they want:
2. Make it so that cold standby 1 and 2 give you THREE chassis per perk and REMOVE cold standby 3, resulting in 6 craftable chassis for a cost of 2 perks and giving the player the ability to get the "remote transfer" skill with one less skill point. Now if I had a choice in the matter personally I think this is by far the most elegant solution if the 6 chassis were to be implemented, that being for the fact it will also satisfy people who DON'T like the chassis, this is the part I was alluding to in the title, all this post I've been talking about how I and many other people love the chassis and how great it is but there simply will be people who don't like it, that's fine! That being said it's really sad that those people will still be forced to pour a lot of skills into them if they want the affinities, they shouldn't be forced to do that. This suggestion would solve this problem perfectly in my opinion, making it so that the chassis limit we have now is transferred to the very first cold standby skill, people who don't care for the chassis but want the affinity will be able to use the affinity abilities perfectly fine that way and use their skill points whenever else they want! While the people who DO like the chassis would still be able to get the extra 3 chassis and body transfer while VERY MUCH appreciating the slightly lessened toll it takes on their skill points, seriously, a single point comes a long way, it would be the best way to approach such change to satisfy LITERALLY everyone no matter if they like the chassis or not!

So that's my post, I really, really hope klei makes this specific change reality as it really is one of the EASIEST possible ones to implement with no huge reworks involved or anything, just giving us a limit of 6 chassis, I think it would make everyone happy and using the chassis would become way more fun that way with them still being LIMITED, but more FLEXIBLE. That's all the feedback I have.

as I explained in my post this change was suggested not because of lunar affinity specifically but the general gripes I have with the limits of 3 chassis being way too restricting

I would love more chassis'. Though I prefer the idea where there were 2 skills that gave 3 chassis, I am not a fan of the current branch bloat, and would like for it to be reduced (as I have been waiting for nearly a month now to happen)
