WX-78 has Shadow Affinity; equipping the Shadow Heart grants a 1.25× attack multiplier. In contrast, Wigfrid's Affinity battle song not only takes up one battle song slot but also only provides a 5% damage increase. Bear in mind that Wigfrid is a proper combat character without nearly as many utility abilities as WX-78. A mere 5% damage boost from her Affinity song is far too little; the numbers are excessively low, making the Affinity battle song severely underpowered.

When Wigfrid selects Shadow Affinity and sings the Affinity battle song, she only gains a 5% damage boost against Moon-aligned enemies, and the 10% damage reduction only applies to Shadow-aligned foes. A mere 5% increased damage against Moon enemies is practically useless.

As you know, WX-78 can get an extra 25% attack multiplier just by equipping the Shadow Heart. Is this really balanced?

I request that Wigfrid's skill tree values be increased and improved. Her Affinity battle song is far too ineffective. When singing the battle song, Wigfrid herself should gain 15% increased damage against enemy-aligned foes.

Additionally, when using the charged Thunder Spear against enemies with Planar Resistance, her damage is roughly the same as Wilson's with the Brightshroom Sword. You have to understand that Wigfrid has no other utility; she is purely a combat character, and she already has a base 1.25× attack multiplier.

Wolfgang received planar damage compensation, but Wigfrid did not. The damage Wigfrid deals with the charged Thunder Spear to planar-resistant enemies is barely different from that of regular characters. In the current version, this character is simply too weak.

Wigfrid already has a full combat kit: permanent 1.25x damage, lifesteal, damage reduction, battle songs, and a whole crafting tab that scales into late game. She’s consistently strong throughout the entire run.

WX-78, on the other hand, relies on situational circuits, and Shadow affinity even locks him out of other options like Lunar builds. His 25% bonus is conditional and tied to progression, not something he naturally has.

When you compare them later on, Wigfrid still has more overall utility, more consistency, and more ways to scale. WX-78 doesn’t really reach that same level of comfort or identity, even with the multiplier.

Wigfrid is already one of the strongest PvE characters, so using her as a baseline for “this should be stronger” doesn’t really make sense, i dont think wigfrid is in any way weak or being left behind compared to other characters.

EDIT: You could argue that this is a call to REWORK her shadow affinity, but buffing her damage further would take away her performance personality and just make her wolfgang with life steal. people would start spamming wigfrid usage, then hardcore wolfgang mains would also demand an buff. While an rework could make her more specific and builded, rather than just a song to further buff her and allies, however, what else does wigfrid need?

Why WX-78 should have this combat buff at first place? Lunar affinity already buffs damage but with side-ways and is interesting because since you have a limited amount of chassises you should choose between kinda teleportation/different conditions bodies or minions-battle archetype.

But shadow is kinda boring OP, because you don't need to make any choice. You have conditioned based chassises and teleportation + super body with. Extra damage and extra utility. Aaaand on top of that you still can hire a lot of pigs/rabbits/clockworks anyways.
