42violets
Hi all! I sometimes have fun by imposing a "no eating" challenge on myself playing as WX. I rush Super Gastrogain Circuits and then use the time the reduced hunger drain buys me to cook a Milkmade Hat. It's technically not the eat action, so I'm happy to use it to restore hunger. Milk powered robot. I would love for the ability to do these kinds of silly runs to remain intact, even as the circuits receive some much-deserved nerfing. Reducing WX's hunger back to 100 definitely made the runs harder, but it's a good change and I'm happy for it. Besides, the hunger drain reduction on the normal Gastrogain circuits makes up for starting with 50 less fuel in the tank, so to speak. I suppose my argument for keeping such significant hunger drain reductions intact is that during normal gameplay, sure, you generally don't need to eat more than a seed a day, but you're going to want to. Healing crockpot dishes are so important to general survival that I believe any WX player using three Super Gastrogains (and not doing a self-imposed challenge) is going to still need to seek out food for the sake of healing. Ultimately this is a non-issue, especially in the face of some other balance concerns, but I just wanted to throw in my two cents and advocate for my silly little challenge. 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/170352-i-hope-my-favorite-challenge-run-doesnt-get-nerfed-out-of-existence/ Share on other sites
hhhhddh
Actually your challenge have been ruined because it's too easy now if you check this. Unless you change it to "no eating and no revive" Edited March 29 by hhhhddh lead to more implementable solution 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/170352-i-hope-my-favorite-challenge-run-doesnt-get-nerfed-out-of-existence/#findComment-1856849 Share on other sites

Im sad Klei fixed the Beanbooster healing to full because it ruined my no dying run. Anyway sorry but this is very weak reasoning. Why balance circuits around making a challenge run not challenging? Right now you never need to eat as WX with 3 gastrogain. It’s not even a challenge run you are playing anymore once you get them. You can also just have an infinite revive with the Chasis skills to refill once every 60 days.
