WX Rework is Hollow Knight. WX Skilltree is Hollow Knight: Silksong.

WX Rework was often compared to Hollow Knight, as the circuit system was like the Hollow Knight charm notch system.

But what I find really funny is how his Skilltree basically upgraded it to the Silksong Tool system, which introduced Yellow tools, Blue tools, and Red tools.

Alpha circuits = Yellow tools.

Beta Circuits = Blue tools.

Gamma Circuits = Red tools (even more so that Gamma circuits are likely to be active abilities, just like red tools in hollow knight.)

 

Just find it funny how the inspiration evolved with the Hollow Knight games too.

 

edit: Maybe the affinities might be like crests.
