Potential Buff for Range and Temperature Circuits

I'll start by saying I do think what these circuits do are relatively powerful, but at least to me, they are also pretty un-useable. I'd be interested to know if other people ARE using these and if they think they will continue to given the options now available. I think in the very least, the Rangebooster Circuit could see an uptick, this is a mechanic that Klei has had a very light touch with and I think that's for good reason as further vision is powerful, but the reality is for what's competitive in these slots (spatializer, acceleration, illumination), there's pretty much no way I would use this in it's current form and I think the boost would need to be a solid 50-100% more than it currently is for me to start really considering it. I do like seeing further, but it just feels too insignificant.

The temperature circuits would need to be reduced by a prong for me to consider them and honestly even if the thermal circuit was one prong I'm just not sure I ever see myself installing this, I just don't see winter as difficult to deal with and certainly at it's current price and the hassle of scanning Dragonfly it's essentially never going in. The refrigerant circuit I could actually see myself using as even though alternative ways of dealing with summer are plentiful too, they are also pretty expensive and summer is a season I would be happy to forgo light and use a lantern. But not for 3 slots, I'll just keep to my luxury fan and thermal stone. I do think making infinite ice is a neat trick with these too but realistically, I'm doing this for a single in game day on a long term world and then uninstalling them and throwing them in a box.

With the current upgrades, two of the same of these circuits installed at 4 slots would allow for relatively cheap immunity to the corresponding element and I have considered this and come to the conclusion I would still basically never do this, so I don't really see that as a big deal either, wouldn't be moving the needle for me personally.

Interested to know what others think, if a lot of folks do use these it's probably too much but if they essentially are never going to be installed I think giving them a little boost could be worth it.

When i play Wx even before the skill tree i used them for winter and summer, nothings beats comfort in my opinion as ignoring freezing or heat all together is too good to pass, now you can even put speed, light and thermal for a full ignoring seasons, darkness and still be speedy. I find the most fun in wx when you are swapping circuits instead of using speed and moogles all year round, after all they are the most versatile character and now even more. Take into account that just 1 of the thermal circuits makes you inmune to the respective temperatures so they are actually real good if you are a lazy slob like me.
Now range circuit i find it kinda niche but its 1 slot, maybe it have its uses and people here say that they improve the drones so thats that i guess?

Edit: also the hot thermal you can scan now the caves thermites so you can get it before winter and before killing any boss!

Okay well hey that makes sense exactly what I was wondering. I feel like the real threat of winter is darkness and not cold but if you're willing to forgo some of the speed you can still have both I suppose so yeah that jives. As far as the range circuit, that's pretty much where I stand. It's one slot, it's a strong effect, but it's definitely not strong enough I'm ever going to use it, I don't think it would hurt to have it be a tad bit further out. I wasn't aware it had a drone synergy so maybe that's worth it? I've tried out the drones a good bit and don't even think they really need to be better at least for the scout and delivery drone but if it's significant maybe that's more what it's meant to do.
