Ocean crashing when on raft

Whenever I use a raft and go out in the ocean in don’t starve together on my switch it crashes after a few seconds.

I played as Wortox

Ive seen this bug many times, though personally i have only experienced it in a fairly old world, not in young ones (i was playing as Wortox in both)

What was the day count in yours?

Have you beaten AFW or CC yet?

Are either of the rifts open?

At this point in the game I’ve been playing with Wolfgang I switched from Wortox and I also play with a friend who uses Wurt I think the crashing during the Celestial champion third phase has to do with the amount of Merm guards in the game it’s about 25 also it’s day 350 or 360 i believe. I don’t have the underground rifts open but I did defeat the ancient fuel weaver.

The crashing is something else, all characters seem to be crashing, especially on CC.

Are you playing on Switch 1 or 2?

Have your friend use the Merms while you have Lunar unloaded or are in the caves. 

Otherwise try it solo or saving and quitting before it ends and after it ends

This game is practically all about buying skins and nothing else; in the late game, it's your luck if you even make it through the constant crashes.

I beat the Celestial champion I found out if you let the merms go at the first and second phase you can let them die the third phase it won’t crash as hard or at all, you can mostly just kill it from there. I was hosting on a switch lite so it was a bit glitchy anyway but I managed to beat it in the end.

Makes sense, a lot of things run much smoother in that sense on SW2.
