Is Fuelweaver only possible with Weather Pain?

I was having a great game and was super prepared for the boss, until I realized it's literally impossible to hit the Shadow Hand... Is the only viable way to kill it with Weather Pain? Can't I use Maxwell's Shadows in this fight just because of how poorly designed the attack priority is?

And to that you add the fact that on Nintendo Switch the attack speed is approximately 20% slower than on PC.

It's incredibly frustrating that you can't have a good game because of things like this... Oh yeah, when you load a world, it's already running, so you always lose about a minute and a half when you load your game. Also, if you pause for a while, you might have to exit and return to the world to continue playing because it freezes.

Fuelweaver IS impossible without AoE, but Weather Pains are not the only option, tho its not bc of the Shadow Hands its because of the Woven Shadows, the UI will always prioritize you hitting Fuelweaver even when he is invincible so if they get too close to him they are untargettable

Personally i like using Winona, or well, when i killed FW i called my friend who mains Winona to assist me in the AoE part, specifically Shadow Winona with her planar strike she can create the rose field that oneshots all of Fuelweaver's little guys, if you would like this option i can help u joining as Winona in ur world, since Switch's playerbase is so small u dont even have to add me for me to find the server lmao

But for the shadow hands? They are perfectly targetable when you are at the right sanity levels of course... are you sure you are at the right sanity threshold?

And for the later comments, yeah, it sucks...

Yes, and you're right, I often confuse both hands lol, but I meant the one that heals the Fuelweaver... And well, I'd love to play duo, but unfortunately I play in the pirated sector (yes, I own the game with a bunch of skins), but I still play mostly because of the 60FPS mod. And thanks for, well, confirming that it's impossible lol... I lost a world because of that :c

Yes it's possible to do it without AoE. I've done it, without auto pause as well. It's not worth attempting though. It's incredibly inconsistent and difficult.

Auto pause makes it a tad easier.

You have to walk AFW around the edge of the arena and be good at dodging bone cage. 

When trying to hit the babies, you have to position yourself directly between AFW and the woven. You must face away from FW. This will usually get you to target the baby as long as it isn't too close.

One mistake, one terrorbeak, or FW losing aggro once will almost always require a restart. As does getting knocked into the void, game crash, etc.

It took me many hours of practice to understand the mechanics and each attempt itself usually involves hours of rolling back.
