Does anyone know how to make modded character skins for a modded character?

Ok so I'm pretty new when it comes to making modded character skins, and I've recently finished making a modded character, does anyone have any tips or tutorials? I've tried to search for tutorials on the subject but the ones I've found are outdated.

Making a skin for your character is fairly easy - This is the tutorial I used for making mine:

 

Basically make a copy of your character's exported folder (and ghost if you want to reskin the ghost sprite too), create the skin (make sure to add "ms_" at the start of your skin's name), and follow the tutorial linked above

 

If I'm forgetting anything or you have any questions, let me know, it's been a little while since I made a skin....
