There is no good option for large scale fire prevention. The oasis sandstorm, rain books, or crystaleyezers are great for preventing wildfires late game, but don't help with other fire sources like fire hounds. This was fine before but with the addition of plants burning when electrocuted base fires are much harder to prevent especially with the moonstorm.

A late game large area fire prevention would help these problems a lot. Flingos work well for smaller bases but they become extremely tedious to refuel if you have more than a few. The crystaleyezer would be very in theme as it already stops wildfires and wouldn't need a whole new item to be added. It could either prevent the spread of fire which would still give flingos a use late game while stopping entire farms from burning down from a single moongleam. It could also just extinguish fires like a flingo (maybe with an animation of the building freezing to put it out and then returning to normal) since flingos would still be useful since they're much cheaper and available much earlier on.

There's also the option to create an upgrade for the flingo like the elastispacer which increases the range and makes it no longer require fuel.

Wildfires aren't the only source of fire. Did you make it to the second sentence of the OP?

Point still stands. Wildfires/any lightning? Knobbly trees. If fire somehow still occurs, then maybe fight red hounds outside of your base. An emergency flingo handles everything, regardless. Scaled turf also got a buff and fully prevents fire spread, if you struggle with fire that much. :livid:
