8bitlikadam
I think lime should be added to the water. After all, there's lime we use for steel production in the game, and I think you could add it to the water as well. If there's lime in the water, there could also be a reverse osmosis system to remove the lime. This could be a device like a carbon skimmer. Then, perhaps a small rod-shaped purification system could be added, allowing our duplicants to purify water without a device and drink it naturally. Just think. You can make a stick from Arbor tree. Open some holes and put in some refined-carbon or coal. Maybe we'll squeeze some lemon in afterward. Maybe even use charcoal for filtering. Totally a group of idea. Thanks. Moodster
The reverse osmosis thing is a great idea, but I think you're thinking too small. How about a mid to late game alternative to the water sieve and emulsifier? A true RO system actually uses a specialized membrane with nano-scale pores to filter water on a molecular level. You'd have to have plastic for any level of realism. Insert polluted water, get back sludge and clean, non-germy water. Insert salt water, get brine and clean water. 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/167782-a-reverse-osmosis-system-for-water-filtration-and-filtration-sticks-plus-lemon-maybe/#findComment-1835933 Share on other sites

Actually, I was just thinking superficially. I think ONI staff can handle the details 😁 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/167782-a-reverse-osmosis-system-for-water-filtration-and-filtration-sticks-plus-lemon-maybe/#findComment-1836690 Share on other sites
