Moleva
I've been playing the same colony for nearly 2.5k cycles, I've been having a good time, and in the process of slowly unlocking the achievements. I often play with my todler on my lap watching videos on my 2nd monitor. Sometimes she presses buttons on the keyboard. Today I realized she enabled the debug mode by pressing backspace. I didn't think much of it, and continued to play for a bit, because I couldn't close it immediately. I then noticed that when I tried to dig something, it just immediately dug it, and I though wait.... this isn't right....wait... does this affect my achievements? I looked a bit online, and found out how to disable the debug mode.... by pressing backspace. I then looked and found out I can check to see if my achievements are still earnable, and I find the red x showing, no, it's not. I look back to my oldest save, lo and behold, it already has a red x, probably from my daughter randomly pressing the backspace while I'm playing, and I didn't notice. WHY IS THIS SO EASY TO DO? Please add in a warning, or something to prevent this from happening to other people. A popup on the first time that requires pressing a yes, at the very least. I feel like I lost hundreds of hours of playtime, and It's so disruptive I'm almost ready to quit ONI forever. I love this game, but it's so disheartening to see all my work basically ruined from a simple keystroke. You only get into debug if the debug enabling textfile exists in the game folder, which does not exist by default. Apart from that, you just disabled steam achievement unlock, which can easily reenabled with a mod.
