grem6 Posted July 31, 2025 Share Posted July 31, 2025 (edited) It seems like they were intentionally made bad for mining (x3 slower than chopping, constant recoil, 50% chance to not do any work at all), but I don't know why. This limits their applications significantly and I doubt that we would be getting something similar to them for mining, unless the shadow rift final boss is going to give us shadow clones for everyone or something. I was going to use them for helping with mining ruins statues, dreadstone outcrops, charged moon glass, ryftstals and glass from lunar hail, but seems like they are practically useless for that, and that seems like a shame to me. Edit: perhaps they could also be able to hammer things, e.g. broken clockworks? They could not damage hammerables with "structure" tag to not destroy players' buildings, but be able to clean up skeletons and broken clockworks.
