thechase
Heyo, I am probably not the only person reminded of Jurassic Park with this expansion. Which gave me some thoughts: PPP Requests: I would like to see a new building that allows for mutated/non-replenishable seeds to be cloned. The resource cost could be a pile of seeds from the plant in question, blended up animals or what have you; plus an investment of enriched Uranium (which has far too few uses) along with the original seed to be cloned. Saturn critter traps are by far the best plant in the game, and it would be pretty cool to be able to get more of them. Same goes for the mutant plant you can spend hundreds of cycles trying to create w/ radiation. Enriched uranium/uranium ore could also be used to make "radioactive" fertilizers to help with the mutation process. General Requests: Although I understand the "finicky" nature of aquatuner's. Late game, would be nice to have an improved one that draws more power, produces the same heat, but will output the liquid at any temperature from 1 to 14 degrees cooler. There is a bug where bunker tiles will leak water when hit with liquefiable meteors. (not unique to PPP expansion There are "2 kinds of frozen plants" - The ones that like to be really cold and those that aren't happy past around -25C. It would be nice to have some synergies among those groups such that if I want to make a cold room that is not too cold, I can use it for more than one thing. Having a good way to cool the interior of a rocket would be nice. When rebuilding the cabin feels simpler, than there should probably be a tool for it. Would love to see each material impact the look of the object its used in (Love the sheen of metal, why not make some textures, would a super cool thing to unlock) Would love to see other things change colour/texture based on material too. Blueprint stamper: Let us copy rooms (all depth of tiles) and save them. That way when we start a new game, we can easily "paste" down the room. If there are not the required materials, have a drop down that lets us select something available. Example: Tile: Granite, Pipes: copper, wallpaper: Mafic Rock. etc. If we reject all so many times in the teleporter, we really should have an option to "bias" the results to something we want. I am very picky about my dupe traits late game. There are specific roles I want filled and I will wait until exactly what i want. Early game, yeah keep it the way it is. Later on, as a reward for making it to cycle 2000+, open up some extra options. At that point things are almost certainly stable and it would really make that part of the game more enjoyable. Radiation resistant dupes would have a lot more appeal if there were places they could work that others cant. Right now, either everyone gets violently ill (colonizing the lava planet was hillariously gross), or no one feels the rads. Another thing that would be a huge QoL upgrade, a use for coffee mugs. I had hundreds in my last playthrough. If we can just grind them into something, or use them as an ingredient for a very top tier food (consumed after eaten), that'd be cool too. Space POI's should have a better distribution. Rare materials, further out, for sure. But what would be great is to have some POIs that fill in the gap for materials that have no replenishment ability. Space POI's that are temporary. To make rocketry more dynamic, it would be nice to see some "limited time" POI's that will come and go. If all POI's had 50 cycle lifespans, that would be huge. Late game space is tedious. I will stop there, I got enough points for a full expansion in my head. I've put an uncomfortable amount of time into ONI and I want it to keep getting better. Cant wait to really take a good dive into this testing branch and speak more to it. Great job on this game KLEI! -Chase 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/166015-mutated-plants/ Share on other sites
