I understand that these big old blind chickens, will always miss hunting their prey until the prey have the elderly mark. That completely makes sense when the Rhexes are wild so they dont destroy the local wild population of Dartles.

However, I believe once the Rhexes are Tamed they should be able to hunt and eat critters at any age. In the Rhexes Info they can eat baby critters but yet they cant because of the rules placed on them to only eat elderly critters.

I think it would be nice for us to do some sort of Live Feeding option with them

ALSO one more thing I like the Clicking noise and Roar that the Rhexes do, but they dont do it often or at all really, so Klei please have them do those Animations more, maybe after they eat they start clicking and then Roar at prey in their Ranch Before Hunting them LOL

They do hunt tame critters at any age (the hunt chance increases linearly with age, with a minimum chance of 15%) . However, wild critters cannot be hunted until their age reaches 85%. The hunt chance for wild critters is then the percent age of the critter squared. (If a wild Flox is age 90, then it will succeed 81% of the time). It's arguably put in place to protect the wild prey population from being hunted to extinction

Oh wow didnt know that, I thought feeding critters that are tame and wild had the same rules, I tried tame floxes but they seem to never be successful XD. Wouldnt you agree that baby critters should have a higher success rate? I mean they are the most vulnerable and should be easier to catch.

I understand the wild critter part cause like i said in my post, it made sense to not kill of the population.

Looks like the Dartles are really their best way of live feeding them, thought to try other critters. Also by any chance can you tell me how much the success rate increase per age for tamed critters?

Linearly - so an age 60 tame flox has a 60% chance of the hunt being successful

I see, but still tho I feel that if a Rhex is tamed and the prey is also tamed their should be a good base success rate like maybe 50% then increase overtime as the prey age but I guess. thanks for the info.

With the latest update, Klei updated some of the hunt success chances.

For Wild critters, the minimum percent age to hunt is now 82.5% (was 85%).

The success has been changed such that we take the percent age and linearly interpolate it across (0.1, 1.1) (before we simply squared the percent age)

For tamed critters, we take the percent age and linearly interpolate it across (0.4, 1.05) (before this was linearly interpolated across (0,1) with a minimum chance of 15%)
