General Feedback:Wagstaff lacks a bit of flare, Warbot is cool and its costs noticeable, Pearl on monkeys happened, QOL is amazing

Hello, as always thank you for clicking here and take the time to read what i have to say about the beta, and thanks klei once again for it´s hard work and passion for this game. That being said, let's get to the feedback.

So full disclosure, i think this beta is not in a state where much feedback can be given, and that's not a critique or anything, i understand this beta probably has a lot of moving parts, on the qol side of it most liekly, and that this first week not all features were added so it was easier to track bugs and mistakes. Completely fine with it, and because of it I thought it may be better to just wait until more content was added so more proper feedback could be given.

BUT, i also realise that even if many of my arguments will have to be written in conditional, i think there is already a lot to say about this beta so the devs can address certain features in upcoming patches, all that said let's start:

Grainny transmission could use a better presentation:

In its current state, wagstaff will built his lab on pearls island after the player kills the three mutated bosses, and there is no clue for this. Maybehe could reference that for the next stage of his investigation he needs to find an "outpost with lunar energy" after killing the bosses, or maybe after finding the bosses a new folder could appear on the junkyard hinting the player where to go and what to bring.

As well, in the sequence for building the WARBOT, wagstaff is very, underwhelming regarding his flare, he gets stuck in his own fences, the little drones don't have any cool display animations, they just are drop unceremoniously on the ground, Even the joke with the The Celestial revenge coming out of nowhere could be played better:

A zoom in to wagstaff ,similar to Charlie's cutscene, as he starts to monologe how he just needs one final energy part to finish the experiment, some ominous music playing, and then the music cuts and he goes "wait what's that approaching" and explodes.  TLDR, make wagstaff performance a bit more rich.

WARBOT:

7 enlightened shards, this is the part of the update where i thought i couldn't truly give feedback, the thing is that it's easy to jump on and say this is to expensive, BUT, we don't know the reward for this boss, we don't know the level of replayability, we don't know if we will be able to recycle the mats we spent after the fight is done etc etc. I think it would be wise to refrain from commenting on how expensive this boss is before we know what we are fighting it for.

This particular point is more of acknowledging that this costs without context its a bit overwhelming, and klei if this boss truly is worth 7 enlightened shards, please consider cheapening the costs to 6, mostly because it feels a little bit sloppy how you have to fight 1 cc for the crown, the 2 for the boss, and you end up with 5 shards, i know it's nitpicking but we players really appreciate round numbers in this scenarios. Also the spirit net is remarkably useful for lunar rifts, if it could be used multiple times but having to load it with cages, it would be dreamy thank you.

The heat locating mechanic is EXTREMELY COOL, people who know me know i pitched this mechanic all the time when talking about what new threats could be added to the game, i hope the tech for this gets used again and we get stuff like enemies that can only target you if you are above x temperature. That being said, it would be good if it was hinted in some way, like maybe we could get to see wagstaff tinkering the experiment after we give him the last cage saying stuff like "Okay now I just have to finish the quantum electrolysis Chips, the drone mainframe control, The heat based location system aaaaaaaand DONE" Just so we have A clue.

Pearl

I had so much to write about pearl. I made it a different post so this wasn't 3 pages long, you are welcome to read it.

QOL

Fantastic, 10/10, marbelous and BRAVO. I loved every bit of it, genuinely can't think of anything else to say.

Normally I like my posts to talk about the good, the bad and how to improve, but this beta is weird as it was already stated, I genuinely don't think we have anything objectively good, or objectively bad. These I wouldn't even call concerns, just stuff that I felt was worth pointing out and talk about how they might play in the final version of the update, and the probable shortcomings their implementation could have. I hope this post results useful to the devs as they finish to work on these features, and that you also got something out of reading this.

Be safe and have a good day : ) .
