Why Doesn't the Sunfish Attract the New Boss' Missiles?

  The Sunfish is a heat source, so why doesn't it attract the new boss' missiles? Was this overlooked, or is there a specific design reason? It seems a bit inconsistent since other heat sources (like campfires and thermal stones) work for this mechanic.

The sunfish acting as a permanent thermal stone is kinda obscure mechanic unless you are wurt player so they forgot to add it

I would be surprised if they deliberately didn't include it

They need to add this, I really wanna watch the defenseless sunfish be exploded by a heat seeking missile from a moon powered gigantic robot.

Perhaps my definition of 'moderately experienced players' differs from yours. To qualify, one should have at least 1,000 hours of playtime and have engaged with all major game content. What you're describing would only be considered casual players.

1000 hours is by no stretch "moderate". Moreover, anybody with that level of experience is going to obtain a star caller's staff rather than wait until summer for a fish to spawn.
