[Character Concept] Wookley, The Contrite Hunter

"Wandering the Constant is a hideous zany creature from the depths below, with claws so long they could easily tear steel to pieces, teeth so sharp they grind themselves to dust and the last grinny face you'd likely see. Such is his nature, the Constant's boogeyman roams in search of prey to satisfy both his hunger and unhinged desires. He stumbles upon a strange camp, it wasn't that of pigmen but of rather peculiar strangers. Humans and a few natives working together to live. Though initially disgusted at the idea of the monstrosities of the constant living amongst his own food the monster curiously watches from the undergrowth. Suddenly he witnessed one of his greatest nightmares barge in their camp,  a mighty bearger! Despite the hunter's reputation a powerful giant brings him great distress, a predator higher than him is bound to make him a prey. But to his shock he saw the humans he once hunted grovel a giant he couldn't scratch. Perhaps these humans are not too shabby after all and perhaps the hunter could learn to change his ways."

- Is a natural hunter
- Prideful but can get humbled
- Wishes for atonement


Hunting:

- [Natural Predator]: Wookley's own hand functions exactly like a spear.


- [Stalking] When Wookley targets a mob he gains 5% speed every 3 seconds until 50%. At 50% he pounces towards the mob dealing an additional 61 physical damage ontop of his weapon's damage and stunning the mob for a second. the leap cannot trigger again for the remainder of the fight. If Wookley lose sight of his prey after chasing it for at least 3 seconds he loses the speed and loses 25 pride. Wookley can also pounce if he is hiding in a bush hat


- [Nosy Hunter] Wookley can track the smell of any particular mob source of an item that he smells. The smell can be tracked to find the mob, it also has to be at least 40 tiles near him.


- [Spoils of the Hunt]: Enemies killed by Wookley have every droprate in them increased by 50% of its original rate. Also drops an additional item on death, if the mob drops a morsel, it drops a "bite-sized bites" which provides half of a morsel's nutrition but still has 0.5 meat value. If it drops 1 value meat then the additional drop is morsel. If allies kill a mob he can still scavenge them for additional loot though they disappear after half a day. The additional drop can be mob-specific loot excluding loot that is exclusive to bosses


Drawbacks:

- [Pride]: Wookley has a maximum of 100 pride, whenever he kills a mob he gains 10 pride if it was small, 20 if it was medium, 50 if it was large and his pride pins at 100 for a whole day if he kills a boss. Taking damage reduces pride by 20% of the damage after damage reduction, against bosses this increases to 80%
- Pride limits what he can do and applies certain debuffs to him:
[90-100 Pride]: All perks active, no debuffs 
[75-90 Pride]: No longer pounces.
[50-75 Pride]: Loses his hunt speed altogether.
[25-50 Pride]: Loses 20 sanity per minute
[0-25 Pride]: Takes 25% more damage from all sources.


- [Slow digestion]: Wookley appears remorseful of a few of his past selfish hunts(whether this is actually his own digestion being terribly slow or him voluntarily refraining to eat is unknown). Wookley can only eat 3 meals each day, even if he is starving.

- [Dread Bringer]: Passive and Neutral mobs are especially afraid of Wookley and will move away if he is in a 2 tile radius. This excludes attempts at feeding them
