Def a cool idea for radiation levels to vary throughout the day, would make for some interesting gameplay where there would be an advantage to do surface work at night. There’s nothing like that in the game as it is. Rad levels would need to get pretty high during the day to create the incentive though.

I was thinking have days (light cycles) that last longer then 600 sec. 6000sec (light) 2400 (night) on the extreme planet. Giving about 5  days for landing and surface work. Before increasing slowly till it maxes out at 2000sec/4000sec for the (light) cycle. The radiation levels would be lethal at peak hours in suits. The light levels would give immediate sun burn.

The players 'day timer' stays consistent but the light and radiation would simulate different cycles on different planets. Once these planets are settled you would have access to incredibly high light and radiation levels for advanced builds and gmo growing. Or possibly planets with little but consistent light too no light at all.

Maybe add a surface with no space tiles to simulate an atmosphere on the starter planet with no meteors. Possibly an 'atmosphere tile mod' line that stops gasses passing through.

Keeps the base 600 sec days with perfect light levels and low radiation. The surface spawns similar to lush core. Build an entire surface base without suits. Adds a challenge in dealing with rocket exhaust and having no way to delete matter.

Effectively an 'earth' like environmen.

I'm at 54 steam released mods and have at least 2 more to release.

at some point you have to take a step back and stop jumping at every opportunity of making a new big fancy mod.

I have several of those I'm sure lol.
