Twintailed Hearts - Temporary Wormhole suggestion

What if we could... plant max 2 Twintailed Hearts to create wormholes that expire after 5-10 days?
and attempt to make new portal would fail no matter what to avoid abuse
+Portals expire if Wortox is not present, but to avoid trolling, they wouldn't perish for a while until you use it to return in case Wortox disconnects

My biggest problem with Twintails is that the perk very situational while being expensive

Dying depends on player's experience, so in the worst case scenario you wouldn't get to utilize too much
especially when your job is to prevent death with potent healing as Wortox

and transport via Wortox sorta... needs coordination and thoughtful planning so it depends if you are going to have fun with it

and I think perishable Wormhole would give something everpresent and helpful for everyone

Extra idea:
Popping new twintail heart as Wortox would refresh the portals

EDIT:

The teleport would have limited range and wouldn't teleport between servers (forest/caves) to maintain it as early game shortcut that doesn't compete with Wanda (distance would be something like 1,5 - 2 biomes)

I believe it would be nice, because Wortox from all characters is the most reliant on optimal base placement and multiplayer environment kinda neglects him in that regard + always something for public servers that don't play turbo optimally

Honestly id love that, compress the first 2 skills and make that the third
tho funcionally it might be a bit easier to operate which would also allow the devs to put in a higher soul cost if they feel it necisairy

a decent term for it could be soul gate tho im sure a better one could be thought of
guessing a single wortox could only have 1 or 2 pairs up at a time per shard

even with it as a seperate item the twintale heart use you suggested would be a great way to maintain it and potentially also letting soul jars to less eficnently maintain them, but it would have the benifit of not needing to go back as often(ik its on the other side of the tree, but most of the function would still be there without soul jars, and im guessing youd have jars anyways)

Although it's cool, but you need to balance this vs rift watch that costs time (minimum 20 days to get tusk if lucky) + purple gem
and rift only stays open for 10 sec!
While Wortox can craft this day 1 right at spawn gate with just killing butterflies.
 
btw I think Wortox already has too much, he doesn't really need more perks.

i completly forgot wanda could, the op did specify a thing up for multiple days. but im guessing it would be something better on wanda since she already has the closer thing in her basekit, would just need a skill to make it last a lot longer and be 2 way.

That would be so cool but kinda same to wanda, maybe make it so you can plant 1 twintale heart on the ground and you can use it as a cheap on the go lazy desserter? As in Wortox has to use a twinheart itself and channel it and the planted one got finite uses that other players can use to tp to wortox??? I guess it would be kinda the same as it is right now but cheaper so your idea is cooler haha :wilson_angelic:

I propose limited range, so the teleport acts like a bridge for the islands or a shortcut to fetch resources from other biomes
which would  be well suited for short term multiplayer worlds and the most useful uses would probably include a lot of walking anyway
and of course, there would be only 1 wormhole per server

Wanda would still have the advantage of range, flexibility, forest-to-caves teleports and becoming more reliable the longer the world exists
allowing instant base > atrium > base trips that bring abudant purple gems per reset which speaks for itself I think

so by scale, cost and effort...
You have equivalent of japanese train vs a stitch that gets stuck for a while for small tasks

I disagree because I think that I'm expanding on already existing perk to make it less situational
so my idea wants to introduce passive effect that doesn't need specific scenarios to work but would have limited area of impact

so it's worth picking it at expense of other reliable abilities
