bobthedog
So I'm playing a Blasted Ceres seed that has no source of salt water. AT ALL. No geysers on any of the asteroids (on blasted Ceres, the open salt geyser in the starting planet is replaced by cool salt slush), no salt/ocean space POI. Which makes it so that I cannot grow lettuce domestically. I know wild farming waterweed IS the better choice, but I still want to plant a few below a crashed satellite for mutant seed production. So I'm having to rely on salt water from care packages for that. Which brings me to the point: Waterweed needs some changes! My suggestions: Make waterweed accept brine as irrigation Add some way to turn brine into salt water Add some way to turn regular water into salt water Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/163439-suggestion-waterweed-changes/ Share on other sites
Tigin
You could input something cold like liquid CO2 into the geothermal heat pump, which will spit out some salt water from the geovents Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/163439-suggestion-waterweed-changes/#findComment-1789882 Share on other sites

bobthedog
Yesterday I was going to reply that I'm using my geothermal plant for steam + clean water. Then I slept on it and now I'm thinking I'll build an extremely complicated setup where I can alternate between cold, steam hot, and (later on) liquid-tungsten-from-space hot batches. And I have a bonbon farm producing more nectar than my plastic needs require, so I think i'll chill that and use it as the salt water producing liquid. Then I can cycle the warm nectar a second time for steam + sucrose.
