Fishgirl
Been discussing about the knabsack just now, and while I do not personally experience it, the whole inventory filling stuff to increase its damage is clunky. I can see why. So, what if the knabsack worked more like Wheeler's pew-mat-ic in Hamlet? Either certain items increase the damage of the knabsack more or less than others or the knabsack has its own slot to put stuff in; more stuff = more damage. This could also make for some funny interactions: like gunpowder/slurtle slime/brightshade bomb exploding on hit; being consumed; and damaging both the user and enemy, or potentially returning the planar function pure horror and brilliance had early on in the beta. This14Real
People have suggested it and many more great ideas but the devs haven’t changed the core of it. I also think it’s pretty bad to have things in the inventory have synergy with the sack. Slot tool and catching bugs seemed appropriate but I feel it will stay as it is sadly, another poorly thought item to the pile. efgi
I think the knabsack is in a decent spot with Covetous Collector. It's cheap, durable, and decently powerful. The way it interacts with inventory doesn't feel great though. I think rather than just grabbing things, it should help with storage. 3 slots seems about right, in keeping with its 3 levels of fullness. It would only be able to hold items that stack up to at least 10, and it's fullness for damage would be based not just on how many slots are occupied, but proportionate to its actual capacity. To prevent this from turning five stacks into fifteen stacks, they should be a sort of player-specific pocket dimension akin to shadow chester or a magician's tophat, and would accessible either like containers (require a stationary action) or akin to turfraiser helm/enlightened crown (must be equipped). The idea of modifying its behavior based on its contents also pairs well with this paradigm. Beetrice
I think you should be able to fill it with only souls, having to fill it with lots of junk items would make Wortox swallow a lot of twigs, grass, pine cones, etc. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/162885-potential-idea-for-knabsack/#findComment-1783747 Share on other sites

Rather than thinking of the knabsack as picking up junk in this paradigm, I think of it as three slots I could depend on in this time. Such slots would really ensure the knabsack's viability across all stages of gameplay. Wouldn't it be nice to have a dedicated soul slot for flint, boards, gold, ropes, or whatever resource you see fit that could otherwise be abundant? If it's picking up and swallowing items, it seems like poor use at best, or selfishness at worst.
