Armor model customization

I really like the game and how character customization works and looks. However, most of the time, the armor you want doesn't look good on your character. What I'm suggesting is a system to combine the appearance of one armor piece with the effects of another. It would be really cool to look how you want while still wearing effective armor.

Weapon customization could also be interesting, but I feel like it's not really necessary. Each weapon version is unique and visually appealing while staying true to its original design. I know this idea could cause some confusion, but it would still be a nice addition.

I'm not sure if someone has already suggested this, but I couldn't find anything here.
