Not overwhelming? Yes. Coesive? Yes. Each skill has a reason? Yes. Well designed? Yes. All the skill trees are really good. Every other skilltree except Winona's there is a big issue that sticks out like a sore thumb for me. These ones are the best. I was concered with what they would do with Wortox, by making him too complex by adding new buttons for things, and complex spells, but they successfully avoided that. Sacco Posted December 1, 2024 Share Posted December 1, 2024 Yea, latest skill trees aren't op and boring too. Walter's slingshot is now useful but not oppressive. Wendy, except lunar abi, isn't unkillable and wortox is weird, but fine. The first batch was a bit too good, woodie and wolfgang, wormwood became op with time passing... Wurt is too boring now, wigfrid's skills are not fine cause they make some boss drops useless. Willow's tree is completely busted, same for winona. Some skills are way too strong, but the three are ok on powerlevel otherwise. Peasant Posted December 1, 2024 Share Posted December 1, 2024 Wortox indeed got the best. The mechanism are fun and lore related. Wendy's skilltree is still not that good to me. It simply turned lunar Abi into some super powerful follower that can almost solo bosses, well, weak bosses at least. As for shadow Abi, she looks rather like simply adding big numbers to me, which is proven bad in potato man. I was expecting some more mechanisms, like wortox's did... Walter, well, walter was almost wes so any improvement would be significant. Still, they had located one of his disadvantages at least, and did a great job solving it. What i can compare it to is Woodie's skilltree they both offer interesting new crafts and mechanics. I'm really happy with state of these skilltrees but theres still room for improvements.
