Wortox Skill Parity

Recommended Posts

I think wortox would be fine as is, but in the pursuit of making all of his branches equally worth getting for different playstyles I do have some suggestions. Particularly the nice side of the tree needs to be more viable, but the soul decoys could also use improvement. The knabsack tree is largely fine/up to tuning so I will not address it (or the soul piercing).

Here are my suggestions:

-Make decoys take multiple hits from low damage mobs to be more viable without being overpowered for bosses (included in the second perk of the branch). Soul echos should also trigger decoys (included in the third perk in the branch).

-If it doesn't, make the second soul echo trigger if the first one isn't used, or if one of the affinity skills is used. This would effectively grant the affinities and extra use, as well as effectively doubling the soul echo window when it isn't used preemptively.

-The second perk of the second healing branch should allow souls to grant players overflow health like is possible with Abigail's health in the sisturn branch. This would fix the issue of having so much healing that it is no longer significant. Obviously, there should be a cap for how much a players health can overflow (double their max health) and overflow health should be granted at a reduced rate to normal health from souls (half healing). Also, the increased speed and value of second healing waves would be added to the first second healing perk to reduce clutter.

-Literally wasting a perk for nothing would be better than the faster souls perk, since it messes with overflow and does not synergize well with soul piercing. Please change it somehow even if the new effect is negligible. Perhaps a new perk could replace this one, and be pushed before the increased healing perk that allows souls dropped by Wortox to linger a little before disappearing if no one needs healing, only activating if it is needed.

-The twin-tailed heart on the ground should be able to be attacked by players to release the souls as well, acting as a good mid-combat healing station and making the twin-tailed heart more viable in singleplayer.

That's all :)
