  1. 1. Fuelweaver & Shadow, or Celestial Champ & Lunar, which questline do you finish before one another?

    • I find the Fuelweaver line too convoluted/difficult/not worth the effort.

The introduction of Rifts allows for a new level of gear progression that is pretty much unmatched. The Void and Brightshade item sets all offer something unique and most importantly, they help you fight the other side. Void weapon deals more damage to Lunar-aligned enemies and vice versa, the Brightshade Staff and the Gloomerang help with the Fuelweaver and CC fight respectively. So, with that established,

which item sets are you going for first?
how do they benefit your character?
are you fighting for lore/headcanon reasons or because you hate a side?
etc.

For me, playing the new beta Walter (must use Slingshot for bosses), the WARBIS headgear and the Enlighten Crown are amazing additions to my DPS. I use the WARBIS head when it is a fast/mobile boss that can catch up with me, and I use a Crown + Thulecite body combo to keep my sanity up while shooting Gestalt-boosted rounds at immobile bosses. Unlimited light, tools & food are also very cool, Shadow side could never. Also, I don't tame beef.

The prerequisite boss Crab King is also very easy with Walter. I used 8 red gems + Pearl, shot out 2 closest Crab Towers near my side, and started shooting at the moving Claw and then Crab King himself. When he freezes, I can either jump in with a melee weapon or just keep shooting. The Nightmare Werepig (needed to activate Shadow Rift) is a lot more mobile and annoying, suitable for melee instead.

Endgame bosses used to be so intimidating to me (mostly the prerequisite to get to them), but now I'm glad that I can comfortably progress and shoot them down. It used to be the same with DFly, she's crazy. When I got better, I always got myself a Scaled Furnace before Winter.

I usually do lunar first cause even pre-skill tree Walter is pretty good against CC and brightshade stuff provides great versatility. After skill tree lunar is even easier and more necessary.

Spoiler

btw nightmare werepig can be stuck between two trees cause he can't walk over them unless he's charging, so it's also an easy kill for walter. The same can't be applied to Scrappy werepig tho.

If I am not Wormwood or Wendy, AFW is too difficult for me and my disability. So is Crab King frankly even as Wormwood but I still prefer CC because the fight itself is a cake walk compared to the prep required for AFW.
