Wortox Skilltree Feedback.

I think his skilltree is in an okay spot.
Just a couple of changes I hope is taken into consideration.

Negative aspects are marked as red and added changes are green. Yellow are maybe could be nice additions for easier readability.

 

  • Nice Inclination: Healing and Sanity gains from dropped Souls is increased. Sanity loss from eating souls is increased. 
  • Naughty Inclination: Healing and Sanity gains from dropped Souls is decreased. Sanity loss from eating souls is decreased. 

Nice Skills

  • Lifebringer I: Learn how to channel Souls into a Twintailed Heart, a creation used to revive ghostly friends. 
  • Lifebringer II: Your Sanity gain from reviving others is increased. Using a Twintailed Heart with no ghosts around will free the Souls inside it healing a huge amount of health.
  • Lifebringer III: Allow the Twintailed Heart to be used by another which will pull them to you from near or afar.
  • Reaching Souls I: Dropped Souls will heal at an increased range. 
  • Reaching Souls II: Souls will come to you faster. 
  • Souls Bastion I: Dropped Souls will do a second healing wave for a lower amount after a delay. 
  • Souls Bastion II: Reduce the delay for the second healing wave to happen. Dropped Souls will heal at an increased range. 
  • Lifted Spirits I: Souls waiting to be freed in a Souls Echo will enhance your movement speed. 
  • Lifted Spirits II: Soul Echo duration is increased. 
  • Reverberation: Soul Echo may will happen a second time.
  • Capricious Movement: Soul Hop cost from the Map will be reduced by how much of the current world has been explored. 

Naughty Skills

  • Knabsacker: You've hung around Krampus enough to create a Knabsack for your own item stealing desires. Packs a punch depending on how full your inventory is. Pure Brilliance and Horror add Planar Damage. Has 4 slots, base 34 damage, deals 25% more damage for each slot with a full stack of items (68 total damage). 1 Pure Brilliance or Horror add Planar damage for 75% extra damage if 3 slots are full (59.5 damage) + planar with Brilliance/Horror. Twice per day (4 minutes cooldown) you may “collect” small mobs (Butterflies, bees, rabbits, spiders, etc…) and automatically transform them into souls (Since krampus can steal anything, even baby beefalos, why can’t Wortox do the same in a smaller scale).
  • Soul Jar: Learn how to craft and use a Soul Jar to store Souls for later use. Soul Jars will leak Souls over time when not in your inventory on the ground*. Only one Soul Jar may be held at once. (*Changed it so we may store Jars in a container for easy switching empty/full Jars)
  • Overflowing Greed: Holding filled Soul Jar increases your maximum Souls allowed to be held at once by 2 each 10 (30 total with a full Soul Jar) stopping you from overloading of Soul power. Overflowing souls are automatically stored into a Soul Jar. This works up to 5 filled Soul Jars. 
  • Covetous Collector: Holding filled Soul Jar increases the amount of Souls held by another 10 Souls (40 total with a full Soul Jar) damage of the Knabsack. This works up to 5 filled Soul Jars. 
  • Soul Thief I: Souls are created and attracted to you from further away. 
  • Soul Thief II: Souls will last longer while being attracted to you. 
  • Soul Pierce I: Souls attracted to you will hurt other creatures with Souls along its path. A held Knabsack will lend part of its damage to the damage dealt. 
  • Soul Pierce II: Souls attracted to you will repel away initially before coming towards make a full circle around you piercing through close enemies before entering your inventory. (Felt like since mobs will always chase and be around you, souls coming directly and going around you would benefit more from the piercing damage)
  • Soul Decoy I: Soul Hopping for the first time leaves behind a Soul Decoy to draw the attention of nearby attackers targeting you. (Please make the decoys emote the Chicken Dance!)
  • Soul Decoy II: Soul Decoys will stay around for a bit longer if they are unharmed. 
  • Soul Decoy III: Soul Decoys will now explode and inflict damage on things lured by it or attacking you upon expiration. A held Knabsack will lend part of its damage to the damage dealt. 

Neutral Skills

  • Impromptu Flautist: You periodically Once per day you feel a musical pull to play your flute if you are holding it. Pan Flutes will not lose durability one time when feeling this urge to play, this urge persists until you finally play it. 8 minutes cooldown.
  • Pleasant Pastorale: Pan Flutes soothe more by increasing its sleep duration. 
  • Cloudy Carmen: Things waking up after your Pan Flute playing will be groggy, having their movement slowed down and not be able to become hostile towards you for a moment. 

Lunar Allegiance Skills

  • Lunar Swindler: The Cryptic Founder will reward your curiosity by showing you power from wearing an Enlightened Crown Brightshade Helm or Armor. Souls waiting to be freed in a Soul Echo will absorb the damage from Shadow Aligned enemies, and expire the timer. Additionally one Soul is automatically released when damage is taken while wearing the Enlightened Crown.

Shadow Allegiance Skills

  • Shadow Harvester: The Queen will reward your loyalty by unlocking power from wielding a Shadow Reaper. Souls waiting to be freed in a Soul Echo will cause damage dealt to spread out to close enemies, and expire the timer. Additionally Souls are automatically stored inside a Soul Jar if an enemy dies while holding the Shadow Reaper.

Having his affinity skills tied to very specific items, that are not Wortox specific is absolute garbage. 

 

Especially considering that they don't sound like they do anything particularly specific or exciting 

 

The affinity skills need to be completely reworked. 

 

If they're going to be gear specific it needs to be much more broad (ie any shadow attuned gear, or any enlightened gear)
