Evelo
Starting off with Wendy, I want to commend Klei for not going crazy in adding a ton of new items. Most of them are very minor and don't drastically change her gameplay. I figured there were going to be potions for Lunar/Shadow affinities so I am not surprised by those but really glad those are the only ones tied to the Skillset. The armor while it is a new craft along side the gravestones, they aren't integral to the character's identity like what is seen with Willow or Wigfrid. Over all I am very very happy with Wendy's Skillset and very glad Klei went this route for the sisters. Additionally giving more control via the flower is great especially for unsummoning since frequently you'd have to punch your sister to get her to disappear. I do dislike how the 3 abilities for Abby are locked behind the skillset but given how not integral they are to the overall gameplay compared to someone like Willow, I am content with it. Now you can do it at range and that is awesome! Most of the choices here actually feel like a talent choice in a skill tree, not something super grand. Excited to try it out more when... it doesn't crash so much. :P 8/10 Walter is next, and... he is the opposite. Projectile Pro is neat with all the new items but... they are new items tied to the skillset. This is kind of a big deal given how much of the character's identity is going to be linked to the skills now. Additionally this punishes people who do not want any of the new pellets and cannot craft additional because of the Projectile Pro I and II talents requiring Walter to take 5 of those talents. It would be awesome if he could take those talents and benefit from it, especially for crafting marble pellets. I do however like the Slingshotsmith tree. It is very cute and I quite enjoy this. It feels like choices rather than necessities. The Woby tree is cute and fine for the most part. The digging and fetching ones are the two I am skeptical about because those are new abilities, and I have stated how I dislike introducing new mechanics via skill sets. Over all it feels less extreme compared to Willow so I give it bonus points for that. 4/10 Wortox. Oh boy. First of all people have wanted Soul Jars for a long time, and we got them. BUT, locked behind the skillset... again. So while I am happy the Wortox fanbase got the long awaited Soul Jar (which also holds 40! souls each!) I am saddened this important item is locked by a skillset. This makes the 2 talents not a choice but more of a requirement. The Knabsacker is neat. It seems overtuned given how easy it is to do max damage (without the soul jar bonus) but I haven't done enough practical testing. The actual AoE Knabbing ability is insanely powerful when compared to the Lazy Forager which is very slow comparatively speaking. The Twintailed Heart too is a unique item and seems pretty useful for multiplayer. The entire Nice tree seems built for multiplayer while I look at the naughty side and think, "Why ever take almost anything on the nice side as a solo player?" so some balancing could be done in that regard. Over all I really like the idea of the wortox skill set, especially the 3 panflute abilities and the Naughty and Nice Kiss/Curse effect for being imbalanced on the scale. Though locking something as desired as the Soul Jar behind 2 skill points removes player choice in what many will consider an essential pick. I hope that post balancing will fix my issues with it. I'd give wortox's skillset a 5/10 currently.
