adminaaassh
In my previous post, I discussed how destructive the Great Depths Worm can be for ultra-long-term saves. In this post, I’m offering a suggestion that I personally believe to be better, hoping it can provide some inspiration. 1. When the Great Depths Worm Attack begins, a ground-cracking effect will appear under the player's feet, following the player’s movement. After a certain period, a head will emerge from below. At this point, players will have a short window of escape time before the normal Great Depths Worm attack proceeds. 2. Introduce an item, such as Embalming Spritz as an example. When the Great Depths Worm consumes this item, it will evolve. The drops will undergo some changes, and the damage will also be altered. The worm will gain Planar Entity and Planar Damage attributes. However, it will also become like the Shadow Knight, turning into a shadow without collision volume and not causing damage to buildings and items. This item should not be exclusively for the Great Depths Worm; it could also be used on other creatures for various effects. For example, applying this effect to any creature could make it ignore collision volume and become a shadow. This design aims to balance the game between the official vision and veteran players. In the early game, players encounter Great Depths Worm Attacks without many buildings, experiencing the pure essence of the attacks. In the late game, using the item provides a stronger and evolved version of the Great Depths Worm Attacks and experience. I believe this is a perfect balance. I used machine translation, so I'm not entirely sure if the translation is accurate. I hope everyone can understand my intention.
