Mimic chests unfinished?

I like the art design and the idea of having mimics but the fight feels really basic, specially considering is a post rift enemy (fighting pigs is more complex and harder than them) and i think they should have more interactions than just infusing shadow hearts. Mechanic that feels really weird, why would the survivors carry a shadowheart with them and later feeding it to a mimic? Idk, is kinda forced, atleast if they infuse other items it would feel more consistent and not an excuse to gatekeep using shadow hearts (because a exploit to get +100 exists everybody suffers)

Yeah, the interaction feels quite specific and forced. And yes the guy needs more combat mechanics. It should have a ranged attack where it throws up n-fuel, miasma or maybe some items at the player. That would look really cool.
