Argwarn Posted August 25, 2024 Share Posted August 25, 2024 The new gear added this beta is very strong and it logically has a high cost,but they do bring quite a few issues. All 3 items are worth a shadow atrium in cost ,the issue is mainly on the availability of it . The demand of these items is considerably higher than what a player is expected to get normally without the specific farming method of killing mass amounts of knights while on a boat,which is basically abusing game mechanics in an unintended way. A player is expected to get one shadow atrium every new moon which makes the issue of time gating some of these a bit too much. The consumable beefalo bell then in my opinion should yield two revivals per bell to compensate the cost and demand issue just because it is likely the item which will cause high demand issues. Secondly the maul is currently unbalanced it has too extreme requirements and also too extreme strenght,the lifesteal values on it are considerably higher than they should be to the point where you could defeat bosses by just holding the attack button. My suggestion is: the maul keeps its leveling mechanic but when it completely starves it downgrades to its previous level at half hunger and 20% durability,to also improve it for those who want to use it for cutting trees.. Its damage and chopping values per level are kept the same but the values on its regen need to be changed ,from a minimum of 4 to a maximum of 10. Higher level mauls should get increased sanity drain on heal to compensate for its higher heal. The nightmare saddle has enough value on its own to be kept the same.
