Need some help with disabling space bar

So im trying to make a mod that removes the ability to pickup W.I.N.BOT with space bar if you are not Winona.(also an option if you want it to disable pickup for winona too) But searching the forums or trying to find something in files didn't lead me to anything. Im asking for help to better understand how to make that mod like what do i need to write in modmain what do i need to require from game or something idk im a newbie in programing.

There are some mods that are kinda the same but yet still different (BTW where do i find logs or some stuff to understand if my mod doesn't work cuz it did load idk why doesnt work cus no crash)
