The Lunar Island is losing its value(Suggestion conversion)

I always thought that lunar island is equivalent of ruins in the caves, where we have special loot, enemies, mechanics, etc., but the difference is after killing Fuelweaver we always come back to the ruins for resources again, but we don't come back to the island for anything else except for the Champion. And i'm not talking about nerfing existing mechanics of gathering moon rock, getting glass or buff of Celestial Orb, but rather about adding the content to the lunar island.

Here are some ideas that I think might be nice addition to the lunar experience.

First let's focus on Lunar Mine biome, do when visiting island for the first time, we can come across new Abandoned Junk set piece called Telescope, after destroying it we can get Meteor Focuser blueprint(I think it would make sense to have some traces of Wagstaff on the island), this set piece would spawn again once per (in game)season.

And what Meteor Focuser would do, well like the name suggests it would cause the meteors to rain. This item would have 3 stages, first wheres it indicates it's on the wrong biome and wont work(we will be able to use it only on Lunar Mine and Rockyland, so it wouldn't be used to destroy bases), second one where it indicates that it is on the right biome and its beginning charging, and the last stage where it's sending the transmission and forces the Meteor Shower to happen. It take some time for it to fully charge, to speed up that process we can charge it with some Moongleams.

But using it on the Lunar Mine will have an additional outcome, instead of normal rocks it would mostly rain Meteor containing Moon Rocks, but it would add one new boulder, that is the Suspicious Meteor, after mining it we would awake new mob which is Celestial Knight.

Celestial Knight is like a mini version of the Champion, it attacks with its laser sideways or straight ways(with only one line of laser instead of champions 3 lines), when we get too close it sends gestalts to put players asleap. Kfter killing the knight he drops Charged Shard. It's resembles Enlightened Shard but unlike the part of the crown Charged Shard have durability.

With it we can craft new item available at the altars. Using Charged shard, glass and MoonGleams we can create the Lunacy Crystals.

This item can be left on the ground to provide some small light area or can be activated to create circle of lunacy, when in it players my experience Enlightenment effect with gestalts in it but also they start healing, it can be used during the fights with mobs and bosses but like I said it causes Enlightenment effect so players must be carefull of there sanity levels. Using this item as a light source drains its durability and lower it gets the quicker it runs out after activation.

Next is the Moon Rock Mirror.

To craft it we just need some glass and moon rock, but to activate it we need to insert charged shard in to it, but when its durability runs out the shard breaks, but if we have the Enlightenment Shard we can insert it instead of the Charged one, and it's still have durability the difference is that Enlightenment Shard doesn't get destroyed, we just need to charge the mirror at the Moon Stone during the full moon. 

What it does is spawn the gestalt reflections which works like Maxwell's shadow puppets, but less powerful without any buffs to them if the player wears any gear etc. so they don't outshine Maxwell shadows.

And the last item is the Iridescent Medallion.

To make it we need Iridescent Gem, moon rock and Moongleam. What it does is makes its user experience Enlightenment effect but also grants its user with electrical damage, to charge it we need Moongleams.

Yeah about Moongleams, I brought them a few times already but there's no way to get them before getting all 3 altars so it will take a while until we could even make some use in those new things. Thats why I think we should have somethink like Lunar Treeguard.

I think this guard could only be spawned when Enlightenment effect is present, so we can't just make some treeguard farm on the main land and leave another reason for the people to visit lunar island. like a mentioned after his defeat it would drop some Moongleams along with a few living logs. But to deal with this guard won't be that easy, since there's Moongleams inside it I think it's logical that it should be dealing electrical damage to the players, so they would need to wear some protection, and since Wormwood possesses the skill of trapping enemies in vines this guard should too, to make it more challenging.

 

And a few words about Rocky Beach and Lunar Archipelago bioms.

I think it would be nice to see some shore mechanic that makes water to spit out some set pieces on the island. By that I mean something like Bone Piles.

Just like the Hound Mound on the main land it spawns aggressive mobs like hounds, horror hounds and Moonrock Pengull. I think this mechanik would be dedicated solely to the winter and spring seasons, in winter Piles would be spawned on ice surrounded by the glaciers and spawn Moonrock Pengulls, and in spring they would spawn hounds that of course on the island woud later change to the horror hounds. After dealing with mobs and mining it, we could get loot ranging from bone shards and Rot to some boat gear to Thulecite and surprising seeds(I know that at the time of writing this they aren't in the game yet but klei said it is possible that there's going to be more of the trees in the future, so haveing other posible source of getting them would not be bad idea). Also i think they would be a good source of getting some Bull Kelp Stalk, Anenemy Trap and Sea Sprout Starter, those thinks are not renewable and having actual way of getting more of those would be nice as well.

And a the end, a small idea of another chapter of Daywalker journey.

In general making biomes not just exist for "going there once for xyz fight/items/tasks" would make the game feel way more natural and fun. [I'm more of a spending-time-in-biomes-to-watch-the-local-inhabitants than a exploring-biomes-for-progress-in-game person] So anything that adds to biomes having more then one purpose is getting a bit closer to the way I play the game.

Just saying: You should also link the original post in this one, but at the /beginning/ of the threat. Simply to avoid confusion.

But I would make a few changes 

one change is would make it produce light like madaluminescence  and replace the sanity regeneration with  lunacy regeneration 

And change the design of the daywalker chapter to be to nightmare Werepig as pure brilliance is to pure horror

Now I am happy again, and sorry for getting worried a second and got overwhelmed by the though that what the user said might have been true, since some people in the forum here really seem to care DEEPLY for their suggestion to be heard.

He did wave at the "devs don't read the suggestions"-post earlier, I just didn't see it when I wrote the "this makes me sad"-comment, as I took the "devs don't read it" literally.

Maybe he didn't react to it, to not make it look like the devs were biased on user-suggestions? At least that's what I assume, or else people would expect to watch out for dev-wavies to predict what would be changed / added to the game next.
