imazined
After ceiling up the top of the map and a sweep I waited for the next meteor shower. It yielded about 2500kg of snow. With 20 cycles between meteor showers it's enough for one bonbon tree. Let's hope they have some kind of snow production planned. Tigin
I like to think of domestic bonbon guards as just a way to get rid of snow. It's the same philosophy as shovevole's ridiculous regolith diet where it's not intended for mass industry. The auto-planting from meteors makes them more like weeds. I count 68 wild bonbon trees on my space surface which produces 1360kg/cycle of nectar without needing to do any pip planting myself. imazined
For nectar production itself that might be true it just makes the spigot seal more unattractive. Also it kind of blocks the top of the map if I would go with purely self planted trees.
