Castiliano Posted June 14, 2024 Share Posted June 14, 2024 The Crab King had an originality factor: it was the only boss that didn't directly damage us, something unique, but now it's much closer to being "just another boss", the fight is even closer to being an average "surface fight". We always listened and made several complaints about CK, how punishing the fight was and how the distribution of gems didn't seem to work. Why was I frozen to death, even without adding any blue gems? Etc. In the end, it seems like the boss needed more adjustments here and there, in addition to real loot. Take advantage of the new CK and make a real modular boss, while maintaining the uniqueness of its old version? Maybe with different drops, based on the gems we put in, making us return to it more often and for a different fighting experience? Popian Posted June 15, 2024 Share Posted June 15, 2024 I think in its current state they could double down on changing it from a boat fight to one where you have to manage what you do/where you are as the ice crumbles beneath you. The healing lost its purpose to discourage passive play as tanking with boat health is encouraged. (It can still be used when not engaged with a player as with Klaus to punish going to the boat for revives and make it less defenseless against a single bee.)
