my ideas for fixing the new crab king

it's been a while since I've last posted here on the forums, I've seen people that were disappointed with the crab king rework, so I've decided to come up with some ideas to try and help make crab king a good and fun fight. I'll also show some quick sketches I did to showcase my ideas (sorry if they look bad, I rushed these sketches and used some in game art to make the pictures essayer to understand)

One of the problems I've had with crab king was how you had to fight him on a boat, I liked the idea of the ice platform he creates in the new fight but hate how so much ice ends up everywhere. so, my first idea was to make it a land fight where ck will create an ice arena at the start when starting the fight. the cannons that also spawn will no longer target the boat but the player making it, so you have to dodge the cannon balls.

another idea of mine was since the claws aren't much of a threat, I thought they could break through the ice platform not destroying it but being able to appear next to the player and do their spinning attack.

my last two ideas are allowing crab king to do a snap attack at the player and bring back the old freezing attack and tie it to the ice wall mechanic. crab king will do a double snapping attack like Klaus with his claws doing 30 damage each hit. the freezing attack will be the same as the old crab king but when finished casting the spell the ice walls appear around him where he will summon his minions and heal himself.

  

 

that's all the ideas I have I'm not really sure how the gems can be changed, leave a comment with your ideas for that. let me know what you think of my ideas and if any ideas need changing, if you do like my idea share them around in the hopes Klei hear my ideas and uses them.

Not terrible ideas. Cannon targeting in general could use some touch ups.
