Skill tree Sugestions: Winona Edition (Constructive thoughts)

1: Replace some perks like catapults attackspeed for something like catapults range; passive Winona improvements like collecting resources faster at cost of hunger; reducing all her crafting costs for her gadgets and/or machinery. Could be a lot of things tbh.

Reasoning: having 26 skills, 22 being for her machinery from wich 4 for attackspeed itself is somewhat unnecessary. She does have other perks on her character that could be boosted like her tape repairing non magic items and her own machinery; stuff like that. There are so many possibilities that would expand the character without really removing the focus of the skill tree that would be better machinery.

 

2: Most of her perks can be essentially made into one, or reduced and have their paths merged.

Reasoning: Three perks for increassing catapult aoe? 4 for attackspeed (3 not working btw)? 3 for battery efficiency when theres also other perks for both generators? I'd consolidate her skill tree better as to make perks need one another like wormwood, but also reduce their numbers a lot. Going generators for one side, catapults to another, then perks for herself being useful.

 

3: Have her afinity being changed.

Reasoning: It would be better to have her revive for free as her ultimate shadow affinity while having the lunar bombing. Both increasing damage make the choice purelly about which fuel method you prefer the most (and lunar with infinite fuel with shards will be better once you kill CC for the second time, theres no need even to think about it).

 

Conclusion: Having the skill tree somewhat divisible about improving Winona or improving her machinery will make her playstile more diverse in the sense you're not only building somewhat better stuff, but the character itself could be better. Like Wormwood having combat related perks and basing related perks. Or Willow which have the Bernie and her caster perks. Having two sides means the skill tree is actually defining how you will play the character instead of pure stat increasing.
