some ideas for Wigfrid

Ideas for skill tree

#1 Commander
- give Battle Helm to pigs to recruit them. They stay loyal until the helmet breaks
- while Commander's Helm is equipped, your recruits are tougher
- blow the Beefalo Horn to temporarily increase movespeed and damage of nearby recruits

I think Wigfrid should be the one getting that mechanic, not Wolfgang. Especially when he is all about being mighty, and he can't be mighty with the whistle.
 

#2 Arsenal
- Elding Spear is an upgrade for Battle Spear, and causes less volt goat genocide
  elding = battle + one goat horn + beefalo wool

- Battle Rond (shield) is an upgrade for Battle Spear, equipping it gives you both spear and shield. You attack with spear, but can use shield's active to block. The item's icon is a shield and a spear.
Bragi's Blessing (more inspiration with battle spear) applies to Battle Rond, because you are still fighting with battle spear.
Stats could be adjusted, to not make that combination too strong

I absolutely don't like fighting with shields, using that puny unarmed hit animation.
Idk why basic items should go into trash bin, instead of receiving new purpose.
This rework creates two builds - tank/support with songs and shield, and dd with elding spear


#3 The hunt
- Spear Throw skill. Can only be used with regular Battle Spear.
Basic non-wigfrid spear is too poorly made for throwing, elding spear is more like two-handed combat spear, and nobody takes shield to the hunt.

- skill that increases track spawn rate

- skill that reduces the number of tracks you need to investigate

- skill that increases chance to find rare hunting prey


#4 Condense rider skills into one
Wigfrid is literally the last character who needs beefalo. She fights better without him - how can that be the cavalry archetype?
Though having an epic song playing as you ride is cool, as well as passive inspiration gain.

I think Battle Saddle should be given to all characters as an option. Also, it could be made less valkyrie-like, and valkyrie theme could be moved into skins.

This is a really cool concept that,  even if isnt applied to wigfrid, can be used for other character with other item/items, with a different effect

These are the kind of stuff i think should be skill trees. Many little but fun perks that reinforce some kind of gameplays making them more interesting. Having a variety of these kind of perks would make us feel like we are choosing and personalizing the characters instead of boring flat stat boost, must have perks or "craft once an item and forget" perks...

I wish they did that. Would make more sense esthetically

Is so sad that the only fun perk wolfgang received was throwing a weapon but wigfrid, which not only was asked many times but also fits her character, didnt but instead got a weapon out of no where, flat stats and boring and useless affinities 

And i know throwing a weapon isnt that useful but atleast is something funnier and can lead to creative ways of playing than "take these 5 planar defense for your character with natural global armor" or "your cheap weapon and helmet now last longer"

 

I think that if klei didnt developed enough ideas they shouldn't go into the hassle of doing another round of character refreshes by improvising bland perks, sometimes even on purpose like they said in the last stream about how boring is Wolfgang’s skill tree...

People are hungry for new content, they could blow this game with the time invested on these skill trees to later, when they would gather enough good ideas release them with some consistency and attractive perks

I gotta wonder what even they been thinking. Like some of the skill tree perks were legit good but then you also got things like the Battle Saddle and quick pick that might as well be base kit stuffs. Like, ????
